Musically, it was quite a year. Did anything else happen? Besides playing myself, I spent a lot of time on SoundCloud, listening to others. Here is a small selection of favourites I kept returning to - on repeat of course - during the last year. - The last piece is a kind of bonus track, it was with me most of the previous year, too. "Chill out" is an understatement for this one. It's a proper piece for travelling. - Have a good 2019, you all! - Onwards!

Another Pat Metheny tune from the Question and Answer album. This is originally a guitar trio arrangement. I tried to stay as close to the original as possible. It was surprising to me how complete the trio arrangement was. It wasnt much of a strech to transcribe it for the string quartet.

personal note: That was the very first and very last time I played mandolin and I had only two weeks to learn the part. That was a lot of fun and a lot of blood at my fingers ;)
I restored this recording from an old and bad copy of the original studio tape. That was fun too :)
