This album shouldn’t be taken as “one-more-remixes-album” even if you heard the original songs, but may be regarded as a full-length sonic deconstruction of the universe created by the band in the previous years. Universe isn’t an exaggeration here, since it’s almost a tangible space haunted by shadows and reflections as those thrown by clouds on the water’s mirror, the blurry spots, any moment ready to take form of the worst of your nightmares, the most hidden of your desires. It's an entity, permanently mutating and spreading itself, filling the space around — from ghostly atmospheric soundscapes to solid gravestonish anthems on the tombs of post-industrial de-humanity. So the deconstruction in this sense is a transformation into a new body, new but still possessed with the same vice and filth making people what they are - not a kind of creatures to be sorry for very much but worth saving just to be shown as an exhibit in a museum of evolutional failures called Mondo Cane, a place where Sobaki Tabaka prove with every their show and record — it’s a pity everyone will die too soon to see the story ends. Everyone except them and the artists represented on this album. Maybe you.

Two excellent remixes from long term Acroplane contributors Swarm Intelligence (Voitax, Ad Noiseam, Acroplane) and Dead Sound (Perc Trax, Null+Void, Acroplane) close out an EP that marks a fresh statement of intent for both artist and label.

OMEN Recordings is showcasing their 10th EP, “Accort”, featuring Naples based artist, WarinD, who brings three dynamic tracks to this Industrial-Techno EP. Also adding to the release are remixes by Swarm Intelligence from Ireland, D. Carbone from Napoli, and AXKAN from Los Angeles.

Accort (Original) – Coming in hot and strong, this dancefloor banger will be a favorite to bring up the level up a few notches. Redel (Original) – Whipping snares and haunting cries mixed with break-beat rhythms will send your listeners to another place. Kousin (Original) – Heavy and low end kicks will dominate the room while robotic melodies take charge. All tracks named after words in “Nnapulitano” language.

Redel (Swarm Intelligence Remix) – This masterpiece is from the future and breaking all the rules of techno. The complex rhythms work very cohesively together while mingling with modern sound design. Kousin (D. Carbone Remix) - Deep kicks that resonate with bass, glued together with washes of noise and distortion will send your dancers to lose their minds. Accort (AXKAN Remix) – Opening the track with teasing crackles of distorted white noise and then allowing the powerful kick drum to come in unmerciful. The underlying bass line will shake intestines. The original track is given an atmospheric remix by fellow friend and producer Swarm Intelligence, lowering the BPM and increasing the distortion on this dark and tense banger of a remix.

OBSCUUR is proud to welcome back the excellent Liza Aikin, after her stellar contribution to the “Withered Tales” album. Liza returns with her own release, a take on industrial techno named “Infirm Past”.

Her signature brand of techno spans over two original tracks, a force of sound cemented by how well it blends with the remix efforts of Swarm Intelligence and VSK. This is an EP covering all grounds, from immersive techno to harder-edge dance floor percussion.

First up is “Hospital Bed”, club ready and on the harder end of the scale, it delivers increasingly frustrating emotions through percussion packed with field recordings literally from the mechanisms within hospital machines. Swarm Intelligence adds the remix favour, with a growling bassline and broken techno cuts.

“Enclave” follows up, with a sophisticated palette of layered pounding rhythms. Glued together with a hypnotically morphing melody, VSK steps up to the plate for the remix, plastering his well-known sound all over and slowing the drums to achieve a pure meditative hallucination.

Liza Aikin consistently strives to push her sound in new directions, the known mixing with the unknown, making this EP a rewarding listening experience both at the club and at home.
