Here'z another raw tape recorded (bootlegged) live from the Paradise Garage closing night with the great Larry Levan on the 1 & 2'z & crowd noise. Unfortunately I only got 1 side of the tape. I got this copy from a Japanese friend back in 2001'. I'm blessed to have this sound time capsule from thee legendary club, DJ & clientele... I'm sure you'll dig this too... in spite not thee greatest recording, yet nice and raw.

The Italian brothers Gino and Federico Grasso are bona fide ‘disco don’s’, collecting music for over 30 years and supplying the likes Dimitri From Paris, Sadar Bahar and Volcov with obscure gems. Gino is a familiar face behind the decks in his hometown of Bologna and across Italy, while Federico’s DJing outings are more occasional. Music, passion and knowledge has seen Gino play underground clubs the world over, including Le Souk in NYC and the Bussey Building and Brilliant Corners in London.

The tempo shits upwards for ‘Love On A Summer Night’.  There’s a cheeky George Benson vibe in the air with this sublime rework of a 1982 R&B classic. A track that celebrates the good times and those sliding door moments, it sweeps you up on a warm summer breeze and leaves you lying on your back under a star-filled sky. Let the lyrics drip over your ears like honey and embrace their gentle touch. 

DJ Laurel knows how to hit those sweet spots, and with the ‘Love Games’ EP you will find it exceptionally difficult to pick out a favourite. A timeless and gorgeous collection of tunes which closes out the summer months perfectly.
