Schnippenkopf is a DJ you can categorize as old school. He is at his early 40´is and he´s been spinning the wheels since the late 90´s, where he began his DJ-career with Denon CD-decks and vinyl players. 
The passion for EDM/HDM started as a young teenager when L.A Styles "James Brown is dead" hit the radio.
A big influencer was Calle Dernulf, a swedish radiotalker and his show P3 Dans, which was on air every Wednesday.
So was Pierre Jerksten´s radioshow P3 Mix every Friday, and it was this that decided that he wanted to try mixing by himself. 

Lately he has been a resident DJ for F.I.F.O. in Örebro and yet today he gladly talks about the night he played for Monday Bar at Slakthuset.

In this first episode for Swedish Rave Society, Schnippenkopf brings you an one hour mix with happy tunes from the Happy and UK Hardcore scene.

Episode I: Schnippenkopf

DJ Schnippenkopf, the rave dad and founder of Swedish Rave Society, brings you a special episode to celebrate what we in Sweden call a “uppesittarkväll”.
This is a tradition that falls in the day before Christmas Eve, when you prepare all the Christmas food, decorate the Christmas tree and wrap the Christmas gifts. In the evening families gather around the television to watch longer studio shows with guests and various entertainment. Commonly featured where live bands, viewer contests and a panel who wrote, at viewers requests, “julklappsrim”. This is a rhyming text that you write at the Christmas gift. Since the mid-1990s, many TV channels have temporarily or permanently abandoned the classic concept of longer studio entertainment.

Schnippenkopf brings you an exclusive one hour of a “uppesittarmix”. In an exclusive interview with himself (sick bastard) he says that he wanted to do something special. 

“Yeah, I just don´t want to show what Sweden has to offer in freaking good electronic music. I also want to take the chance to tell people about our traditions, manners and expressions. This is a brilliant example of that. We have an expression in Sweden that says “slå två flugor i en smäll”. In means to hit two flies in one bang. What I mean by that is that you can prepare the Christmas and at the same time dance and rave in the X-mas. Sounds lovely, right?”

In this mix Schnippenkopf clings to his beloved Happy/UK Hardcore, but it hasn´t always been like that.

“Correct! I rediscovered the genre when a was preparing a set for FIFO at their Rave Cave in spring. It really got me hooked. I have always been more of a techno and trance guy, and still am, but I like the energy you get on the dancefloor with the upper tempo. In this mix I wanted to go a little bonkers at the end and just have fun. In the transitions I go from UK Hardcore to Powerstomp, Reverse Bass, Hardstyle and finally finishes it off with Rawstyle. Isn´t rawstyle so much better at 170 BPM!? And of course, I wanted to include two tracks from two young and extremely talented Swedish rawstyle producers, Rewilo and Radera”

Just when you expected something awesome for this epsiode, we bring you that old bastard Schnoppenkipf!

- WTF!?
"Yeah, I hope you will enjoy this mix with my beloved UK Hardcore. I´m warming up with some older tracks and then progress to more UK Hardcore and Powerstomp. I couldn´t resist to finish it off with a really old 90´s hardcore tune from mr Dano. It´s a sick tune. But we also have a big announcement to make" mr Schnippenkopf says in his interview with himself.

- What´s the word?
"Swedish Rave Society slowly but surely grows and we have expanded our crew with some people that will organize festivals and events in the near future. Hopefully this summer, depending on how the situation with the Corona virus goes. The main man behind this team will be mr N3RON. Hopefully we will have something more to tell before Kristi Himmelsfärd in May"

- Didn´t N3RON make an episode for you?
"Yeah, he did. And he started T&T last year, who just like us, wanted to publish mixes from DJs at Mixcloud. But he wants to organize raves and will do so. We also have a new local organizer in Örebro called Club Undersound, which we hopefully will have some collaboration with" 

- Any final words?
"So far, I think we have succeeded in our concept" mr Schnippenkopf replies. "Especially in putting new talents in the spotlight for en episode. Their mixes have been really, really good and we are working on more, both well-known and upcoming. Stay tuned!"
