Nenad joined us in Episode III, way back in November 2019. As a real freaking hardhead, he loves the harder styles and the oldschool sound. 
In this episode, Nenad takes us on a trip in memory lane and back to the days when - in his own opinion - raw hardstyle music was the best. 

Nenad, whos real name is Niels, was born in 1988 in Groningen in the Netherlands, but he moved to Sweden when he was 22 years old.
The interest for electronic music - especially the harder styles - came from the Dutch TV-channels TMF and The Box, who were similar to MTV. In the early 90´s they were showing hardcore music in their programs. This got his interest more and more.

In 2006 Niels started to make mixtapes, but it wasn't until 2011 that he started to perform on stage as part of the DJ team: Nr. 1 Crew.
One year later he went solo as Nenad. The first booking was at the Machinecore party in Gothenburg and shortly after he became a resident for Mix and Dance, a big Swedish event organizer focusing on the harder styles like hardstyle, hardcore and hardtrance.
For Mix and Dance he played several times at the Blackout-events and even at the (world) tours of Digital Punk and Gunz For Hire!

Nenad has also played a couple of times at F.I.F.O. in Örebro, where he lives today with his wife and child. Well actually, Nenad lives a what we in Sweden say a “stenkast” outside the city. It means just outside the city in a smaller county.

One of his highlights - to date - as a DJ was preforming in the Netherlands at Wonderland Outdoor festival 2015.

If you have had the privilege to see Nenad live, you know that his sets are creative and full of energy, something he likes to show on stage as well. You can call Nenad a little bit of old school, because he really like mixing with both CDs and vinyls.

I performed this set in support of Lisa May at BlackNoir nightclub at The Flinders hotel in Sydney. It is a hybrid set between techno and psytrance. This set invokes the introspective element of when a storm is coming and the foreboding feeling one gets.
