A producer that uses Reason and/or an MPC (a drum machine and sampler) on the fly, Skeila Productions was inspired by Kanye West, Just Blaze, J Dilla, Havoc (Mobb Deep), Swizz Beats, Pete Rock, Dj Premier and Vinny Idol but also uses dance samples in his music. The south East London Born music producer creates hard-hitting beats with dark synths and voices, incorporates sharp strings, melodic piano riffs topped with erratic hi hats and sub bass. He also can switch his style to a more snappy stripped down 90s style Hip-Hop, using layered drums and soulful samples. During the later part of 2012, he released his first beat tape “Never Underrate An Underdarg” and followed it a year later with another called “Id Sample Your Mum If I Could”. Since then Skeila Productions has continued to update his soundcloud page with new projects and recently issued a mixtape with him and other artists rapping over his beats called “Kicks, Chicks & Takeaways”. This was a warm up project for his up and coming project “Problematic”.
