Another Deep release for the Mental Sound label and this time by the russian Alexander Matchak. Known for his releases in labels like Bondage Music the Moscow based artist shows us in this 3 track ep his personal touch into this genre. With a nice groove going on in all tracks and a very good selection of textures we get a nice trip from the first track till the last one. A release to don't miss if you like underground club sound.

Next up and incoming at Pro B Tech Music, we warmly welcome another first-time original from Tulum Music - Soundscape Moog. This EP comes with 3 x Originals from Tulum, Soundscape Moog, Clipped Sweep & Players. In addition, we have 3 remixes to support: 1 from Bulldozer and 2 from Hernan Serrao. We kick things off with the title track Soundscape Moog, the guys take no prisoners here a full on 4/4 Prog monster, that has grinding basslines, pads and acid throughout, we love it. Next up is Clipped Sweep, this is another outstanding production from the guys, another outstanding slice of Prog, solid kick, driving bass guaranteed to destroy a dance floor, this is another biggie!! We then welcome back Bulldozer with their remix of Clipped Sweep, this maintains the drive of the original whilst taking things in slightly deeper direction, a very welcome return here. Finally on Clipped Sweep we have a very close friend and regular to Pro B coming in from Argentina Hernan Serrao, Hernan does what he does best, he lifts the sound and gives that South American, Argentinian feel we all love, outstanding. Next is the final original from the Tulum guys, Players, this is has a deeper feel to it but very much drive to it, something that will get your head down, feet moving, and hands in there through the break. Then last but not least we have Hernan back once again to give his work to Players, Once again Hernan lifts the sound, brings in more melodic elements which float through out whilst keeping things moving. The dynamic Berlin duo, better known as The Reason Y, return to Second State with a brand new EP entitled 'Density'. After last years debut, the duo have been working tirelessly to deliver a massive three tracker and they have managed to do just that as well as locking in heavy hitter Nick Curly for a stellar remix to guarantee a monumental record. Opening things up is the title track 'Density' and it certainly delivers the trademark TRY sound with crisp, racing hi-hats and low rumbling bass. As signals of bold sirens resonate through fields of sonic indulgence, the duo commandeer a journey into cosmic spaces. Followed by 'Sunwaves' which is the duo's ballad to the Romanian festival they first played last summer.  Laced with grooving low end and sun drenched atmospherics, 'Sunwaves' is the aural illustration of exactly what you would expect from one of the world's finest festivals where the water meets the dance floor on an exotic Romanian beach. On the flip side, the duo take a step back and drop the heady down-tempo number 'Whisper' where percussive grooves fill the blank silent palette as washes of mischievous pads create the feeling of being lost deep in the jungle while a whispering voice guides the listener towards some vacant hope of finding a native estate. To wrap things up, we turn to the one and only Nick Curly for his twist on ‘Whisper’, and in true Curly fashion he delivers a bomb. Swirling tones are draped over an infectiously loopy groove as surges of white noise grow, constantly taking the levels of energy to new heights while the original vocal is brought to the front to ensure a trippy trek into the grandiose areas of late nights.

The Reason Y - Whisper (Nick Curly Remix)

Thomas Gandey hits Noir Music later this week (Friday 23rd December) with his rework of ‘Lovemachine’, 1978 future disco band, Supermax’s track of the same name. We’ve got the exclusive premiere of it above.

Gandey first rose to prominence in the mid noughties as Cagedbaby, and has since gone on under his own name to see release through Carl Craig’s Planet E Communications, Get Physical, Crosstown Rebels, Suara, OFF, Desolat and Monkeytown.

On his rework of ‘Lovemachine’, Gandey turns in an arresting cut tailored for late night dancefloors, complete with his trademark haunting vocals. It comes as part of a two-tracker that features Re.you and Pleasurekraft’s remix on the flip.

ROD​: ​“Thanks to the great original parts, both my remixes flowed out of my system quite naturally. i was happy to do 2 complete different remixes. where ‘prologue' is more about peak-time techno-energy, with 'sign' i tried to create a much more psychedelic underwater-ish vibe which i think worked out quite well with that soothing vocal."
