Preparations for lift off into the Galaxies continues with the next single from Hannes Biegers eagerly-anticipated album. With themes exploring the human experience, existentialism and the vastness of the universe beyond the confines of our planet, ultimately Galaxies is about Love - the matter, or energy, that binds us all together in this multisensory experience we call life. Meteor is a rousing composition, rooted in a simple, yet effective five-note melody that enchants the listener from the very beginning. Subtleties in the arrangement add depth and velocity to the dynamic energy of this cut. The melody remains constant, with regular shifts where it expands, before contracting once again. A genuine feeling of travelling through the darkest recesses of outer space, entering the light and witnessing the majesty of the vast expanse up there outside the Earths atmosphere is captivated perfectly here. Hannes utilises a powerful low end to propel this track forwards, while a variety of harmonic elements and a multitude of synth layers combine beautifully to create the aforementioned interstellar atmosphere. The beats have a high level of precision, yet they feel organic and human in their nature. A spellbinding breakdown allows space to gather our thoughts, before we embark on the second part of this cosmic journey. The earworm melody repeated throughout gives this track its sonic signature and a captivating power that keeps you engaged until the end. A second breakdown emphasises the hypnotic nature of this track, which is almost beguiling in the awe and wonder it conjures up. At its heart is the multiple layers of sound that Hannes has expertly woven together to produce a sonic representation of the Meteor and its wondrous, yet potentially destructive capabilities.
