Illusory is the new moniker from Jovan Vucetic, dedicated to releasing experimental, borderline house/techno music with a multitude of electronic influences. It's a result of months of experimentation and taps into Jovan's interest in a broad array of musical genres, coming off the back of solo releases via his own name on labels like Underground Audio, Roush, and Material. With a debut Illusory release on Disco Halal - 'Oblivion', and follow-up records on labels such as Oddity and Family Name, Jovan has instantly set a high standard, something which he more than maintains with this new offering via connected .
 
‘Overrrun’ is an excellent slice of chuggy and emotive electronic music fuelled by ethereal guitar sounds and dusty choir-like strings. Hints of early 70s crime series soundtracks married with the strains of reimagined New Order and Vangelis make for something pretty special.
 
In the artist’s words “‘Overrun’ is something I made last year to reflect my own emotions, and probably the emotions we all felt losing the life we once knew with everything happening in the world at the time. It was basically one of the tracks where I let it all out while feeling 'overrun' by the mixed feelings.”
 
This is another gem from connected and further sets out the admirable sound of Illusory.

The No Distance guys are back on Truesounds Music with a new 3 tracker!

The title track TENET is a hypnotic journey on solid grounds. Its break with the reversed synth trick is a real mind twister!

The 2nd track HYPERION has an even deeper approach to the current Melodic House & Techno vibes. The smooth toms at the low end and the ethereal leads on the top make this track a quality example of its genre.

MISSING JETLAG has a bit happier atmosphere than the other two on this release, but the gated synth chords in the middle skyrocket everyone’s mind to orbit for sure!

Award-winning music producer and live performer Rodriguez Jr. also known as Olivier Mateu returns to his spiritual home here at mobilee, following up from the acclaimed album “Blisss” with a brand new EP that delivers a transcendental state with such an emotion that we can honestly say is unique to this very special artist.

We are proud to present “Hydra EP”. The lead track “Hydra” immediately transports into Rodriguez Jr.’s alternate universe of swelling synths and distinctive melodies that stay in your psyche for a very long time. As with most of Olivier’s tracks, it can be enjoyed as much inside headphones for a needed escape, as in a club, or at sunrise on a Brittany mountain, where he showcased the track for the first time in his recent live stream with BOLDR. The key changes and evolving soundscape delight within any space and at every level, in a sound that is pure Rodriguez Jr., which will delight long-time fans and new alike.

Finishing the EP, “Pegasus” sets its signature with a piano trill, thrilling fans who well know Rodriguez Jr’s relationship with this instrument. Crafted in his Paris studio, rhythmic synthesisers, ethereal pads and a tender bassline join the soundscape to create the setting for a tantalising melody to take the heart strings of the listener on a special journey which is, at 7 minutes, entirely too short.

Following on from his collaboration with Eric Horstmann´s Immersive Lab and Dolby Atmos for “Blisss”, “Hydra EP” has also been re-mastered for a multi-dimensional experience.
