Sound bytes of fleeting moments, Innellea make their name known on Steyoyoke bringing us two originals and two remixes with their EP Colante. The title track ‘Colante’ includes a remix by Nick Devon, and ‘Galagant’ is accompanied by a remix from Dahu. Another awe-inspiring, hypnotic EP brought to you by Steyoyoke, ‘Colante’ has no boundaries.

Innellea’s original ‘Colante’ contains very strong, domineering kicks and melodies, which control and confound the track’s pace, constantly teasing your ears. The curious bass lines serve as a marvelous foundation for both the original and remix. Nick Devon takes on his own approach with ‘Colante’, adding his own flavours and tempo, as this tastefully composed track slinks shyly into your mind.

‘Galangant’, a spicy track best served hot, features beautifully arranged synths which lure and capture your soul and heart simultaneously. The intelligent use and variation of highs has made a creatively curious composition. Dahu’s take on ‘Galangant’ features his own approach towards sound manipulation, creating an eerie effect on this ethereal track. Making the original only more mystifying, Dahu truly knows how to add clouds to the darkness!

Another breath-taking EP from Steyoyoke, and an achievement for Innellea, Dahu, and Nick Devon. Partial PR: Now, for the label’s final release of 2016, microCastle welcomes Fabio Vanore-Landsberg aka Fabio Vanore to showcase his creative talents. The Italian-born, Germany based artist is highly regarded for his distinctive style and musical depth.  Releases on Einmusika, Click Records and his own Incroyable imprint have been praised by his contemporaries with Maceo Plex, Joris Voorn and Hot Since 82 all playlisting his music.

microCastle’s masterstroke has been to engage Love over Entropy to repattern ‘Ortygia’. Motivated by the ideology of early Detroit pioneers and experimental IDM, his musical creations are renowned for being hypnotic and atmospheric, with a tender touch, juxtaposing an obsessive attention to detail with space, chaos and chance. As a result the Dutch artist has found a home on taste-maker labels such as Something Happening Somewhere, Lossless and Atomnation. Here he builds a deeply brooding, melodic, percussive masterpiece, and the resultant tension is palpable as his re-imagining of ‘Ortygia’ sparks with eruptive bursts of fizzing energy. A stunning remix on every level, and it is no wonder that he is beloved by such heavyweights as Dixon, Mano Le Tough, Âme and Laurent Garnier.

In the third of Chapter 24's Editions compilations, the label has invited a select group of talented artists from across the globe to reimagine original tracks from its first two years of releases.

A host of gems and treasures are to be found, featuring remix pearls from returning favourites Luis Leon, Jonas Saalbach, David Durango, Petar Dundov and Dan Grassler alongside new arrivals to Chapter 24 PHCK, Luke Garcia & Th3 Oth3r and Camel Power Club; who rub shoulders on the release with label co-founders Sam Pauli and Paul Nolan.

Spanning the melodic end of the underground music spectrum from techno through to electronica, you can be assured this release has you covered.

The Third Editions compilation brings Chapter 24’s second year of releases to a close, leaving us excited for what's to come in 2017.
