This duo has a very personal music style, with Melodic Techno as main genre, but with a lot of cinematic elements that imprints an special flavour to their music. Solid beats, dark synths, hipnotic atmospheres and complex effects will make you feel very peculiar emotions.

The EP is completed with 2 strong remixes, by the also french producer Atribút, and the duo based on Zurich LUMME & Miguel

Opening the summer season, Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Andres Moris and Alto Astral to the label for their debut EP. Based in Argentina, Andre Moris has been touted as one of his country's fastest rising progressive house talents. Although only a year into his production career, the Cordoba resident has already earned the support of Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, while landing releases via Antrim's Or Two Strangers, 3rd Avenue, Balkan Connection and Droid9. Now making his Movement Recordings debut, Andre teams up with newcomer and fellow countryman Alto Astral for a three-track showcase entitled 'Time Shifter', alongside a remix from label boss Tash.

Working with a strong creative synergy from the start, it is the title selection which leads the release off. Andres and Alto carve out a thunderous, low slung groove to act as the vehicle for waves of flickering percussion and buzzing synth lines. Delicate melodies emerge across the first act, eventually opening up for a strong vocal narrative. Hopeful and charming, these impassioned phrases carry the journey into the break, where tension rises and the framework resets for a groovy finale.

Providing the lone interpretation of 'Time Shifter' is Tash. The Greek artist and Movement brand founder has been a primary fixture of the electronic music underground for well over a decade. In addition to hosting some of Greece's finest events, Tash has also released his music on a host of quality imprints, most notably Beat Boutique, Beatfreak, FSOE and UV. Having recently collaborated with Shrii on a single for label affiliate Movement Limited, Tash now returns to his primary home for a stellar rendition of 'Time Shifter'. Staying true to the main themes from the original, the Movement boss opens up the framework for a greater sense of space where the vocal springs to life amidst a haze of buzzing synths and sweeping atmospheres. Chopped and reprocessed, the vocals play off the key changing groove, as cascading melodies and spine-tingling effects transfer energy into the main break. Coming to fruition, the full vocal emerges across the centrepiece, as kaleidoscopic arps and dynamic modulation spark a resounding drop and charged finale. For the less vocally inclined Tash has also included a dub which will certainly come in handy on the headier dance floors out there.

Rounding out the release are two more originals entitled 'Stargate' and 'Skylight'. The former finds the Argentinean duo drawing on their progressive roots with a smooth, melodious creation that's bound to find favour with progressive music's top DJs. A thunderous, thumping groove sets the pace for sweeping sonics and pixie-like melodies, before a tension filled break puts your sensors on high alert for a stomping final movement. 'Skylight' follows suit with a chunkier groove, choppy percussion, and striking stabs. Dynamic and powerful, its buoyant foundation is adorned with phasing harmonics, as it moves through emotive chord changes leading into the second of two breaks. Opting to dial in anticipation further, the centrepiece opens up into a rhythmic crescendo as the beats drop for a thunderous conclusion. A masterful track from Andre, which puts a resounding cap on an impressive Movement Recordings debut for the Argentinean duo. Don't miss it.

'We are beyond happy to welcome Kapibara to our family with “Macaca”, our 63rd release.

For this EP, the dutch duo felt influenced by wildlife: “we aim at a wide array of fascinating sounds: sometimes dark and deep, sometimes colorful and ecstatic. Almost all our original tracks have been given (scientific) animal names. For this EP we've chosen Macaca, a cheeky monkey, and Mittrei, a colorful Butterfly”.

On remix duties, Spanish talent EdOne focused on the piano parts of the track, giving more weight to this one but respecting the original elements. 

Remixing Mittrei, another artist from the Eklektisch family: Tayga - “I immediately liked the break and the arpeggio. I tried to give a more "House" touch to this track by adding a chord and a vocal”

Single number five of 2021, called "Perception of Reality", is created by the trio of Trusted Tracks, Ito Cekaj, Rasange & Olavi. The track is built upon the idea of ones perception of the world can be very far from the truth. The track starts out with a airy and beautiful synth which then transitions into a gated vocal that gives the track a lot of atomosphere. When the drop hits, you get a bouncy groovy and these lush elements on top of it. The song then goes into a break which then leads back into the drop again but this time with a little bit more energy.

Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes LADS to the label for their debut EP. Hailing from Germany and South Africa respectively, LADS is an amalgamation of two technical creatives. Luc Angenehm and Deep Suite combine their strengths to bring you a unique trademark sound filled with emotion and variety, underpinned with an unmistakable LADS groove. Conceptualized in 2017, the duo found success in relatively short order, choosing their projects wisely and building a discography with releases via Akbal Music, Lost and Found, Nie Wieder Schlafen and Sound Avenue. Now adding Movement Recordings to that esteemed list, LADS debut on the Greek imprint with Vorfreude', alongside remixes from Alex O'Rion and Ruben Karapetyan. 

The companion piece Zeitgeist' is equally impressive with it's deeper drive and unpredictable tonality, the latter of which ultimately forms the backbone of this thrilling journey. Wispy effects, percussive flurries and timely modulation segue into the main break, shifting the narrative further into esoteric territory. Sitting comfortably in an ethereal yet thought provoking space, arpeggiated fragments percolate across the interlude, elevating tension before dropping out into a groovy final movement. 

Returning to the label and providing the lone interpretation of Zeitgeist' is Ruben Karapetyan. The Armenia born; USA based artist made a triumphant return to electronic music in November of last year. Following a ten-year hiatus Ruben's Movement debut Gignesthai' delighted progressive house fans with its combination of musicality and groove. Carrying momentum forward, 2021 has already seen Ruben deliver a second single for Movement, along with a project for Lowbit Records. Now returning to the Greek imprint for his first remix, Ruben delivers an inspired take on Zeitgeist'. Engaging from the outset, commanding beats and rippling pulses converge for a powerful foundation, while cross-cultural themes bring depth and texture. The main break furthers the narrative with its exotic leanings, creating a mystical air as a gentle rush of noise and drums sparks a pulsating drop and soulful finale. A gorgeous remix from Ruben which rounds out an excellent Movement Recording debut for LADS, a production duo who continue to delight both their fans and contemporaries with each successive outing.

About the release
Copenhagen duo Baime released the original “The Damned” track way back in 2017, and wow for a ride it’s been for the two Danes since then! The Original track had a good run in 2017 for a number of great reasons, but this remix compilation just goes to show how evergreen a track it really is. Arude has enveloped his remix in a tense battle cry from an exotic land. His version sounds like man-made chaos with an exhilarating vigour.
