About the release :

French producers Mediane come back with their second EP of 2018. For the first time, they maked it with an international label : Ground Factory Records.  After releasing many big techno artits as Ben Sims, Dustin Zahn, Jerome Sydenham, Flug, Hans Bouffmyhre, Pfirter, label's boss Kalden Bess, Ground Factory sign Mediane for this GF076.
The EP includes 3 original tracks and a massive Avgusto's remix, German producer recognized for his releases on Flash Recordings.

About Mediane :

Oscillating between mental, atmospheric and acid techno, the identity of Mediane is marked. The project is the fruit of the collaboration of two friends, djs and producers. One offers a captivating and aggressive deep, the other an acid and devastating Techno. Since 2016, under the alias Mediane, they propose a symbiosis of their respective styles. 
After two first EPs released on Poincaré Records label respectively titled « Shade » and « Insomniak », Mediane starting strong 2018 with the track « The Next Rules » witch stood out by a premier on Sweet Musique. In February, it’s with « Brotherhood EP » including a remix from the german Lars Huismann on Solide Records label that Mediane cross step with many reviews, a premier on Jaelos chanel, many tracks playlisted in artist’s podcasts and the eponym track on the biggest techno Deezer playlist.

This differents releases allow Media to be supported by artists like Slam, Paco Osuna, Ferhat Albayrak, Anetha, Arnaud Le Texier, Alfredo Mazzilli, Mental Resonance, Krenzlin, Deraout, Xpansul, Djedjotronic, Hydrangea and many others.

Two other EPs was signed on the international label like Ground Factory Records (Canada) and Hypnotic Room (Japan) and more TBA.

Cellini is a Belgian techno young gun who now serves up more of his genre blurring, immersive sounds on his own brand new label Cycle Four. He is an artist who has risen above the crowd in quick time and has his own night at Belgian techno temple Fuse. He has played all over his home nation and also received the Red Bull Elektropedia Award for Most Promising Artist. 

These new tracks on the first release on his new label prove why. Cellini takes you on a journey through the deepest parts of the techno spectrum and translates infinite depth into audible sounds right from the off here. 

Duduk is cerebral and atmospheric and has warm solar pads drifting by as rolling drums keep you feet to the floor. It is immersive music that is stripped back but essential, a spine tingling release filled with musical character and storytelling emotions.

The latest offering from the Last Night On Earth label camp comes from British DJ/Producer dubspeeka. Providing us with three spacious cuts that entwine dub-techno inspired sonics with deep, building drum grooves.
 
‘Torn334’ opens, with it’s shimmering analog drum machine hi-hats that contrast one another, the reverberating 808’s against the sharp, 909 sounds that slice straight through. A huge, echoing kick drum drives along with a brooding menace and Dubspeeka works in a dark, off-kilter chord progression over the top.
 
‘Torn392’ reveals more effective drum programming, while combining minimalistic synth bloops and intricate snare fills. The haunting reverbs that coat this driving, late-night cut shell the composition in a sense of thought provoking awe. Subtle melodic passages wind in an out throughout this rich plethora of dubby resonances.  
 
‘Torn434’ offers a driving synth bassline over the noisy ambient of the tape machine, tight tambourine loops and scattered with cavernous dub-techno chords that engross the space with their intricate tones. dubspeeka pauses halfway with a rich breakdown that fills the spectrum with overwhelming white noise only to return to his haunting progressions.

Founded in 2014, the Sweet Music project was conceived with the aim of promoting electronic music in its entirety, but always with a melodic touch! Our DNA is to publish what we like, both emerging and already influential artists, and the same goes for the labels.

In 2023 we passed the 50 million listener mark, and Sweet's little sister, Past and Future, our second channel open to all styles, passed the 20 million mark.

With the same passion, we'll soon be celebrating 10 years of the project, and keeping our DNA.
