French alt-pop talent Theodora is still riding high off the success of her Too Much For One Heart album from last year. It saw her distill her love of cold electronic sounds, r&b and contemporary hip hop with her knack for catchy pop hooks and warmly human lyrics. She has done the same on various EPs since debuting in 2016 and is known for telling evocative personal stories.

Theodora heard the original 'Twist In My Sobriety' on a cassette compiled by her aunt of her favourite songs from her teenage years. It struck a chord with her so she now revisits the melancholic hit with gusto, taking the delicate melody into danceable territory as she whispers the lyrics over a newly relentless beat. The tune has been mixed by Etienne Caylou and intertwines dance, new wave and techno in a style that is Theodora's own. Her voice is the centrepiece, arousing emotion and a furious desire to move. The tune comes with a video by SuperFeat, who has been a visual collaborator on all of Theodora's latest releases.

Giving Theodora's tune an even more club-like feel, British producer and musician David Shaw and the Beat adds his own remix. It is a pulsating dark disco cut with chugging drums and snappy hits. The arpeggiated synth keeps you locked while more dazzling cosmic chords bring colour next to Theodora's intimate and alluring vocal.

After releasing on the AFFKT's imprint "SINCOPAT" and collaborating with Mundo D (releasing some stuffs and remixing the only one Darlyn Vlys), Victor delivers here two complementary pieces.

"Maybe it's Love" tells us a beautiful indie story. The hyper positive melody is carried by a perfectly balanced rhythm, interspersed by FX straight out of the 80's. Love is in the air ?

The break & dance hit "I don't know", hyper grooving and festive, is enhanced by the voice of the vocalist Neburo, making the track more intimate and giving it a New Wave touch.

Who better than Captain Mustache himself to sublimate "Maybe It's Love" …? The french producer, propelled in 2022 by a fantastic series of good releases on Bedrock or Kompakt to name a few, literally transforms the original in an electronic body banger !

Marc Martinez Nadal, aka AFFKT, consecrated a music career and has been a driving force behind a vivid and empowering sound that is refined by his drive for perfection. He feels in deeply in communion with sounds that range from the most energetic hyper-glossy techno to the most detailed and innovative indie-electronica. Having worked on coining the sound of this alias since 2008, it has been a plethora of sounds, places, persons and cultures that has provided a platform for AFFKT to experiment with his output. "I remember my fourteen year old self, listening to Depeche Mod on a CD player, immersed in their intoxicating sound, yearning to be an English boy, from anywhere, didn't matter where, as long as it was in England. 
I was completely stunned by that sound of pipes and breaking bicycles, flowing from the CD player, shattering my 60's friendly virgin ears that were used to easy melodies played by innocent guitars on a black and white Emerson TV. 

In this "Hello" remix from the Violator album, I chose to use vocals from an early version demo, I absolutely love the raw sound they were able to produce. 
This remix has been with me around the world, played in every set as my secret weapon. Now it's finally time for me to share it with you"
