About the artist
Fabian Vieregge moved to the capitol Berlin in 2011 to find himself in music. After years of studying the many varieties of electronic music, he found his own melodic & progressive style in producing and DJing. He released on labels such as Cinematique, Mango Alley, Dear Deer Music or Geistzeit. Fabian got supported by some of the most wanted Berlin DJs like Mehr is Mehr, Martin Ka, Stan Starry, Moji, Mona Moore or Maurice Mino. His tracks got also played by international artists like Lonya, Dale Middleton, Citizen Kain, Daniel Mehlhart, Darin Epsilon and many more!
He’s had the honor to play in some of the best Berlin clubs such as Kater Blau, Lieblingsbucht, Salon zur Wilden Renate, IPSE or Anomalie Art Club. He has also played in other regions of Germany like at Odonien Cologne, Bamberg, Passau, Saarbrücken or Zürich(CH).

If there is one person you can trust with leading you into a miraculous realm of care and good music, it is the Heinz Music label boss himself, Prof. Dr. master of soul-vibrations Marcus Meinhardt. He has steered the label-ship steadily during this difficult time. Again and again he has given us releases with beautiful melodies and worry-healing grooves. And now he is back with a big two-tracker himself, "Mars Attack EP".

The title track ignites the starting engine with a smooth and catchy groove, while a playful synth is luring behind the tree. It swiftly surrounds you, asking for your trust as it takes you on a little journey towards heavy basslines, quirky synths and an uplifting and dreamy atmosphere. The melody resonates with a newfound positivity and joy over us all being able to meet on dance floors again.

Secondly, we are lead into the world of "Venus Vibes" and you immediately feel weightless. As if you are floating on a cloud, with the stars just at the tip of your hand. Dark synth plucks meet a vivid melody carrying a space-like background of organic percussions and wicked up-winding noise. It is heavy yet encouraging, and the perfect companion to "Mars Attack". We’re thrilled to welcome Chicago’s Rez Dosia to Obscura for his first feature length project - The Abstrakt Lover EP. With a feature selection on the recent Jimi Jules Essential Mix, Rez is on the rise as the summer season kicks into gear.

The project’s namesake and A-side Abstrakt Lover brings crisp acidic tones and tripped out vocal chops, creating bespoke dancefloor moments. Lights Out & Apache Plume bring a low-slung minimal vibe, keeping the groove tight while allowing punchy drum programming to catch the ear. Six years after the creation of their label Diversions Music, two bonafide legends in OXIA and Nicolas Masseyeff have decided to have remixes of one of the iconic tracks from the label's first release. "Connivence" is therefore remixed by their friends, talented artists Kiko, Black Circle, and Super Flu.

First up, goes the Rework of the original which is deep by layering in some dumpy drums and glitchy percussive sounds. Sweeping chords and the melody bring grand scale and a sense of melancholy.

The Super Flu Remix is then more driven, with a powerful kick adding the energy down low, as crisp hits and edgy melodies unfold in the space above. They cast a magic late night spell over the dance floor.

The Kiko Remix is a slick bit of melodic techno with slapping hits and nice textural percussion. It locks you in and then brings dark cosmic energy in the well designed chords and melodies.

Last of all, Black Circle absolutely delivers on this by stretching the record out in all directions, mixing luscious pianos and dreamy pads which transport the listener to a state of bliss.

These are four fantastic remixes of a still classic original.

The latest in a 10+ year of exploits on respected imprints such as Ellum and SCI+TEC, ‘Flash Drama’ is a precision 10 minute trip into some of the most fundamental elements of electronic music.
