What if we told you that you could enjoy the sound of tomorrow today, would you be interested? Forgive for getting all Morpheus on you - that's the black guy from The Matrix for all you teeny boppers out there - but we're a little bit excited here at Data Transmission HQ and Italian producer Lehar's latest production, Number One Hero,  is to blame. 

Making his debut on Diynamic’s sister label 2DIY4, we've been unable to get his new single - or its two accompanying remixes - off our office playlist since it arrived in our bulging inbox last month and so set about securing one of the record's three incarnations for exclusive premiere. 

Unfortunately for us, we were given the opportunity to have our pick of the litter. Much head scratching then ensued and after multiple shouting matches and a narrowly won vote, the ayes had it and we decided that Cologne producer Peter Pardeike's rework was ever so slightly more our cup of tea. That's not to say we don't love Engrave LTD boss Musumeci's version, we do, and with both are set to pick up heavy play in a club near you soon, we're sure you will too. For the 27th JEUDI issue let’s welcome back one of the label headhonchos Doctor Dru. The “Savannah” EP is uniting his past as a drummer and his feel for hooky, layered arpeggios in a perfect manner. Dru’s tracks are always welcomed sureshots on the foor. His last contribution “The Pattern” stirred up the summer in Ibiza in 2015 and was played to death by major league artists like Solomun or Nic Fanciulli. This year his infamous remixes of D-nox & Beckers “Serenade” on JEUDI , Nico Stojans “BLUE HOUR” and Sailor &I’s “Letters” stirred up the festivals and foors around the world. We are sure this release will fnd his way in the playlist of many DJs as well.

The “Savannah” leads you in the wide of the african steppe merging multi layered arpish melodies into one fne percussion driven hypnotizing tune. Of course with never missing the hands up moment.

“Praerie” is featuring a little darker atmosphere but not less percussion driven. You’ll fnd Dru’s signature drone with trancy melody interjections. But the breakdown is what made the tracks name. Inspired by the west coast synth melodies of the late 70’s it comes suprisingly and with just the right power to make the crowd freak out.

Release Info: 
Moonwalk put the spotlight on exotic soundscapes in Fatima, a cinematic release with three original pieces, blending their usual lively electronic explorations with an oriental flair.

The title track commences with subtly rousing drums, gradually building up a melancholic groove, perched on a backdrop of warm pads and spiralling synths.

Another set of oriental-inspired percussion comes to life in Zed, a lengthy journey of winding pads and shimmery riffs. The wailing vocal makes for a distinctive sound bite, while blending in deftly with the aid of a dramatic lead merged in ethereal throbs.

Mosaic brings forth another apt fusion of electronic and otherworldly elements. The symbiosis between the two remains linear, with incidental swings to each side of the realm, proving the artists’ ability to steer through divergent moods and combine them into a unitary, curious composition.
