Far from being a newcomer in the French electronic music scene, Hélène Brahem, who first evolved under the alias Babylene, has been a musician, DJ, and producer for more than 15 years. 

Hélène started her musical journey playing the harp for more than a decade and has been a rising talent since her inception. Recognizable by her musical style, Hélène is renowned for creating hypnotic sounds that are both melodic and energetic. Her first track ‘‘Airspace,’’ released in 2011 on MINIMALMINUTS, remained the label’s best-seller for months. She has also played in some of the best electro clubs in France like Batofar, Nouveau Casino, and BT59 to name a few. Her musical influences include the likes of UMEK, Bass Kleph, and Oliver Huntemann.

For our last release of the year, we are incredibly pleased to present Hélène Brahem’s EP ‘’Bird’’. For this EP, Hélène composed three original tracks, mixing melancholic and enveloping sounds paired with a dark and ominous atmosphere. The first track and namesake of the EP, ‘’Bird’’ starts slow and heady, then transitions into a colorful and contemplative universe, with melodic marimba lines running throughout. ‘‘Automn’’, the second track, offers trippy and vaporous synth layers balanced with sharp metallic sounds — transporting us to an intense meditative state. Last but not least, ‘’Wood’’ is the somber track that will push you headfirst into uncharted mental contemplations. Powerful crescendos lead to spatial drops, a myriad of sounds surrounds us, exciting our senses. This whole EP is an invitation to let go and be guided by the music.

Three remixes complete this EP. Only 22 years old, Raphael Hofman is a Dutch producer based in Berlin who started DJing and organizing events at the age of 16. Know for his deep and dark soundscapes, surrounded by different rhythmic structures, he offers a dancey techno house remix of ‘‘Wood’’ that will leave no one unmoved. 

On his side, Skøllaris spoils us with two wonderful remixes of ‘’Wood.’’ Skøllaris is a French producer sharing his life between Paris and Berlin. He has built a mesmerizing universe where the harmony of intense low frequencies and moving melodies tell an epic story. In his first remix, he takes us into the abyss with acid sounds and an unapologetic bassline. In the second remix, the Late-Night Mix, the artist reworked the track to make it a techno dancefloor banger, ready to burn down the house with brutal drops and a crazy bassline to match.

What better way to kick off the new year than brand new music, and for CASOMAT003 we're thrilled to be bringing you the debut release of Barcelona live-act Teleporters, AKA Adwer & Jon Rabbit.


While both already have countless years of experience in the scene individually - Adwer as a DJ & producer, Jon Rabbit as a composer & performer - the two only began to collaborate musically in 2019. Since then they've written an impressive amount of material and performed numerous live sets together, but now present their work in the format of finished individual pieces for the very first time.


The 'Tangerine EP' includes four tracks in total and the two originals are a modern take on the sound established by the early pioneers of electronic music. Indeed, the track titles are respectful nods to Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk respectively. Adwer additionally provides his own version of 'Metropolis', staying true to the core elements of the original but opting for slightly sparser percussion and an airier feel.


Finally, Poland-born Pysh masterfully reworks 'Tangerine' into a more dancefloor-oriented version, a sound which he has recently moved to Berlin to further develop and one which can clearly be heard in his most recent productions on labels like Poesie, Dantze and Ritter Butzke Records.

Movement Limited caps off a successful first year with a much-anticipated EP from Tash and Forniva. Greek artist and Movement Recordings boss Tash has had a prolific year thus far. Releases via Lowbit Records, Mango Alley, Just Movement and UV Noir have all been standouts, as he continues to tread the waters between progressive and melodic house & techno. Meanwhile, Bosnian artist Forniva first appeared on parent label Movement Recordings in 2018 with a remix of Emi Galvan's excellent 'Dopamine', before going on to appear on the label's popular 'Technical Progress' series later that same year. Fast forward three years and Forniva has become a Movement Recordings stalwart, delivering five originals and a remix across that stretch. Now as 2021 winds to a close Tash and Forniva combine their creative forces for a much-anticipated three-track showcase entitled 'Balkania'.

With a blend of contemporary musical elements, it is the title selection which gets the EP underway. Complementing its tough rolling groove are punchy beats, luminous tones and flurries of indie-inspired drums. Unconventional synth phrasing and dynamic chord stabs marry across a tense first act, before opening up into an effects-laden break and devilish finale.

The second selection 'Palace Of Aegae' follows and finds Tash and Forniva crafting a modern dance floor blueprint once again. Quirky hooks blanket the driving, drum-heavy groove, as buzzing synth motifs flow through the framework. Building tension further, the second of two breaks allows the distinctive lead to breathe, keeping rhythmic flow locked, while smoothly segueing into a stripped-down drop and electric final movement.

The release concludes with the emotive sounds of 'Tribe Of Sithones'. Fuller and more progressive minded than its predecessors, the duo marry symphonic themes and ghostly vocal elements over key changing grooves and a plethora of neatly manicured drum arrangements. Nostalgic in mood throughout, it is a timely break which resonates most brightly, building to a melodic frenzy and ultimately spearheading a euphoric finale. It rounds out three fresh and inspired tracks from Tash and Starkato, a duo who have made a strong statement with their first ever collaborative EP. Highly recommended.
