Igor Bartyuk bursts into Surrrealism with “Innuendo EP”

The great Russian talent makes an appearance in Surrrealism with an EP loaded with forceful rhythms, mysterious melodies and aggressive sounds. Sobek and John Falke accompany him on this journey into darkness.

"Innuendo" is the track that leads this journey. Igor already shows his potential as soon as he shows us the rhythm. The aggressiveness of his percussion accompanied by elegant and mysterious melodies keep you in tension at all times.

"3rd Reincarnation" is the second reference to this dark path. There is no time for clarity. Following the trend of its predecessor, this magnificent track keeps us immersed in a sinister setting. Dark melodies, aggressive synths and booming percussion are the common denominator on this journey.
Sobek steps forward to perform "Innuendo". Riding on an old skool rhythm and melody, Hungarian talent takes us back in time to offer us the roots of our sounds combined with the structures of current rhythms. A perfect symbiosis.

John Falke is in charge of piloting towards the end of this dark journey. His version of "3rd Reincarnation" is a true reflection of his toughest abilities. Hard-hitting kicks and basses flowing with enigmatic synths meant to move every foundation of the dance floor.

Globally acclaimed soulful songstress, Pauline Henry (The Chimes), makes a welcome return with a stunning new single, ‘Release Me’, joining forces with revered US producer Lem Springsteen (Mood II Swing). Jamaican born singer/songwriter Pauline Henry has enjoyed a captivating career in the music industry for over three decades. From early years as a backing singer for Duran Duran and The Rolling Stones, she went on to take the stage as lead singer fronting various bands performing in the UK and across Europe, most notably her band, The Chimes, working with Mike Peden & James Locke. The Chimes went on to release global soulful hits such as ‘Love So Tender’, ‘1-2-3’, ‘Heaven’ and‘ I Still Haven’t Found What Am Looking For’, among others. They were part of an elite group of bands that shaped the urban soul music scene in the UK in the late 80’s and early 90’s. As a solo artist, Pauline has released hits such as ‘Feel Like Making Love’, ‘Sugar Free’ and ‘Love Hangover’, to name a few, along with 2 acclaimed solo artist albums. Pauline Henry continues to perform extensively at concerts and festivals and around the world, including recent tours in the UK and Australia and opening up for Kid Creole and Coconuts at The London Palladium last year.

Bosq from Whiskey Barons is back with more heat for the dancefloor in the form of a double 12” release.

“Up & Down” continues the formula of classic sounding dance grooves with heavy Afro Latin influences throughout on this special all instrumental offering and features the reunion of Bosq with Nigerian composer / producer / singer Kaleta, who this time around remains an instrumentalist, handling guitar and the horn arrangements. The track - "Up & Down" went through so many revisions and mixes that it could only be properly represented with 2 very different versions. The NYC 91 mix focuses on the dance floor with pulsing afro house drums and a scorching horn section, while the NIgeria 76 mix keeps it organic and funky with a live kit taking over for the drum machines and a new arrangement.
