Hi! My name is Virginia and I'm, what you may call, a "not-so-typical" teenager. From the time I was 10 or 11-years-old, I've been writing lyrics to my own songs. When I was 13, I got my first acoustic guitar (named David) for a Christmas present. At 16, I got my electric guitar (named "Scotty" for now) as an early Christmas present. They are my best friends and I love them like my sons. Yes, my guitars are boys. 
When I was 10 or 11 and wrote my first song, it was due to my biggest inspiration- David Archuleta- and one of his songs from American Idol. It was a mid-August morning at 7am and I was talking to some friends while listening to some David music, that song came on, touched me in a way I can't entirely describe, and compelled me to write my first song entitled "Too Late." However, since, I have had two computer malfunctions that resulted in the inevitable loss of a lot of my 500 songs, they are the "Dearly Departed". All of my songs are like my children, so I have had 500 children in about 5 years. That sounds weird...well...whatever. It's true, in the metaphorical sense.
So, more about me. I am 18-year-old and a College (University...)Junior. Aside from being a prolific songwriter and going to college for psychology, I am also a major nerd/geek. I am into musical theatre and I am totally in love with shows and movies like Star Trek, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Star Wars, Sleepy Hollow, I tend to like Being Human and True Blood as well. I am sure there are more that I am forgetting, but you get the gist of me from that list. I am not ashamed to say I love the geeky things. It's part of who I am and it makes me happy!
