Board recording of Sweguno live set from Chillits ambient festival held at Black Oak Ranch in Mendocino County, CA on September 17th. I played at 7:30 am.

The first track is a looping vocal piece inspired by Robert A.A. Lowe (Lichens) whose live performances I credit as getting me into making vocal music. The second track is a cover of a traditional Georgian folk song 'Tsintskaro'. The third track is a more rhythmic electronic piece with looping vocals. The final track is a cover of a Brian Eno song 'There Were Bells' which I took in a more droney/shoegazey direction. Lossless file download available above.

Island Flux remixes brings together a diverse group of artists who were given the raw elements from Dissolved's 2022 album "Island Flux". Given no restrictions, each artist has placed their own unique stamp on the tracks, resulting in a collection that stretches and morphs into new expanses while allowing the ghosts of the originals to still exist.
The original album cover depicted an unknown and strangely isolated island, located 'somewhere'.
To reflect the way these remixes expand and change the originals, the orignal photo has been artificially expanded, revealing a new expanse of ocean and sky, somehow making the island even more remote and mysterious and allowing the music to take you on a different voyage.

We at Flowstate are proud to announce the 1st entry in our Re-Flow mix series, featuring none other than resident duo 48'92! 

Each chapter will showcase an excerpt from a recent dance of ours, and we can't think of a better way to start us off than with a recording of co-founders Miagma & AJ Fox at the helm of Dead Ringer Analog Bar in Reno earlier this month.

This mix captures these two at some of their finest moments thus far, weaving together 90's classics, contemporary grooves & oddball belters with precision and palpable flair. Machine circuitry and soulful sirens twist, slam, melt & pour into one another over this nearly 2 hour long journey - it's gonna be a wild ride!

Sweguno is Dan Ainslie, a Canadian currently residing in Northern California. With his music Dan often uses loops of his own voice in lieu of a lead synth, an element originally borne out of necessity (having no hardware other than a Zoom H2 field recorder initially) now having become a stylistic hallmark of his work.
