In an ancient animistic framework where the human being is made up of three parts, teyolía is a Náhuatl word that designates the heart or the heart’s energy and represents a person’s identity, along with tonalli and ihíyotl. For Lyo XS, teyolía stands for the soul, which manifests as the inspiration that flows through her music and the intuitive reflections that arise from the soul or heart.

The EP hits the ground running with opener Resolución, a broken techno bomb with deep sound design, a driving Shepard tone-like synth and militaristic snares for intensity.

B E N N is a Taipei-based producer, DJ, founder of avant garde club label Over My Body. His presence spans across continents with his symbolic explosive energy and ability to ignite the dancefloor have made him a focal point in various scenes around the continents. His production attempted to reach out the diverse dimensions, with unique sounds blending into different asian vibes with broken beats. Over the past years B E N N has released several EPs and participated in many compilations from different labels, each showing an evolution of technique.

It’s the soundtrack for anyone who feels like the future might be slipping away, but refuses to let that silence the now. Alas, spring is finally here… and while we’re at it, so is MR007)) This latest endeavor, brought together by Entrañas, offers an inspired take on traditional Ecuadorian rhythms like Bomba and Albazo. Criaturas, as the name suggests, dives into various animalistic tendencies, showcasing them across five heavy-hitting tracks.

Sapo (frog), as described by the artist, is someone who likes to gossip. As a final scathing exclamation point for the project, Sapo joins us in two forms: the first being a 160 bpm tidal wave from Entrañas, and the second a grime-riddled remix from Rizla Ops. Both cuts employ various dancefloor tactics to stir movement inside and outside the booth, and we couldn’t imagine a better sonic marriage of label friends, both new and old. We’re particularly fond of the crescendo nature of both tracks as they warp through the speakers and are feeling lucky that they’ve found a home here at the Road.
