DELADAP's history is one of constant change, progression and the exciting search for their own unique version of pop. “I take one step forward and one step back/dance like crazy and I'm right on track/I'm a rocket on a mission, got no simple plan/just one big vision, people clap your hands,” they sing in “Merry Go Round.” Just like all pop music—indeed, all art—DELADAP want to bring people together on equal footing, get them to connect with each other and not necessarily tear down the artificial walls that separate us on various levels, but instead dance all over them. The hit factory of Wolfgang Lohr (Berlin) and Balduin (Frankfurt) have struck again. The new song drops under the name Whoopsy Daisy, and in this second EP collaboration of the two artists, Electro Swing strikes a more poppy style this time around. The life-affirming and light-footed track is sung by Sebastian Daws with his deep timbre. The groove is danceable, the mandolins are romantic and the winds are melodically catchy. With the marimba line and the string pad, desires are awakened and acute holiday cravings arise. The whole thing was supplied with an electronic base, making it suitable for the open-air season and the crowd in the clubs. Too much of a good thing? #WhoopsyDaisy
