I am djhenke, also known as HNRK in studio contexts – a passionate and experienced DJ as well as an amateur producer from Sundsvall, Sweden, who has been lighting up dance floors since the early 90s. With thousands of gigs behind me, I have developed a unique ability to read the crowd and create exactly the right energy – no matter the occasion. My technical skills and uncompromising sense of quality make every performance something extraordinary.

Together with Robin B (formerly the Sweet as Kandi DJ duo), I had the honor of opening Air Festival in both 2011 and 2012, as well as touring with the festival’s official warm-up parties across Sweden.

I have been a recurring part of Sensommar Festival in Sundsvall, where I have performed as a DJ for several years. I’ve had the privilege of warming up for some of the world’s biggest names in EDM – including Steve Angello, Galantis, Otto Knows, and Martin Garrix – as well as hosting both pre- and after-parties, contributing to the festival’s pulse and atmosphere.

My journey has also included gigs and collaborations with artists such as Fedde Le Grand, Style of Eye, John de Sohn, Stonebridge, Nause, Sak Noel, Rebecca & Fiona, Laidback Luke, and many more. I have been a resident DJ at classic Swedish clubs like Oxid, Sinners, 360, and Memento Palace, and have spent several seasons DJing along the Mediterranean. I am also one of the recurring DJs who monthly lifts the vibe at the popular house bar Magaziner Bar in Östersund – a venue known for its passionate audience and quality music focus.

Internationally, I’ve played at some of Europe’s hottest party destinations such as Ibiza, Magaluf, Croatia, and Rhodes, raising the energy at both clubs and beach clubs. Since 2014, I have been the resident DJ at Cubaneros Beach Club in Laganas, Zakynthos during the summers, and in winter you’ll find me on the afterski and nightclub scenes in Vemdalen and Riksgränsen.

No matter the place, crowd, or context, I always deliver an experience that takes the atmosphere to the next level. Music is not just my job – it’s my passion.

The semifinals of MNM - Start to DJ and a dj set at Sunrise Festival were for Sound Sickness an absolute breakthrough. What started as a hobby at small, local parties evolved into an incredible music passion of this eclectic, all-round DJ and producer. 

Thanks to the increasing recognition in Belgium, Sound Sickness is today an established name in the nightlife scene of Leuven and Antwerp. Karément, Red & Blue, Publik ... DJ Sound Sickness always creates a lasting impression. However, Sound Sickness’ ambition reaches even further. Cities like Toulouse and ski villages including Saint-Sorlin D'Arves already had the pleasure to welcome Sound Sickness. Earlier this year, he was playing live on a national radio channel Studio Brussels and he already created several times an unseen party atmosphere at the Vooruit in Ghent. 

The future of Sound Sickness is looking brighter than ever. Constant innovation and originality reflect in every single dj set. The recent occasional partnership with Fiddle'n Bass (live violin) ensures even more an overall experience that takes each audience, whether it is at a bar, club or festival, to the next party level.
