I loved playing this game on the Sonic Mega Collection for the  Gamecube back then as a kid. So today I thought of having a go on covering this piece of music from the game. I'm really happy with the result. Enjoy! :D

Hey all! Here's the first music of 2023!

This track was inspired by Mega Man 7, F Zero and many other games from that era. I've always wanted to do something fast paced but have the essence of classic video game music (hence the SNES and Mega Drive sounds being utilized in this) and thus this was born. And I'm very happy with how it turned out in the end.

So uhhhhh yeah, first time in ages that I've even tried to touch this franchise musically! XD
Some of you longer-time peeps might remember that I did some shitty MIDI edits of Crash Twinsanity tracks back in "the day," as it were. Well, I finally got the motivation to try again when (like fucking always now) I got the spark out of absolutely nowhere, on top of realizing that there were pretty much *zero* "proper" covers of this track out in the wild.
This is likely the last thing I'm gonna post for a lil while, as I'm finally gonna be building my new comp and getting that process started tomorrow, but uhhhhh yeah. Pretty proud of how this turned out, especially considering the complexity of some of the shit I had to pick out/transcribe lmao. Hope you guys enjoy!

This song was produced as an homage to early 1980s post disco. Using classic sounds and gear such as the Linn LM-1 drum machine,  Arp Odyssey, and Prophet 5 synthesize. Using funk chords, and an uptempo beat yields a sound reminiscent of the early 1980s post disco sound.
