Live at Radio 80000 from Lighthouse Festival 2023

For this edition Betonska/Dzungla is collaborating with Spanish label Organic Signs, who happen to have re-issued another work by Sebastian Taylor: Digitalis - Soma Junkies. In line with this release, Organic Signs have organised a secret party in the middle of nature and close to Madrid called Refractor, with a stellar line-up, and the one and only Digitalis/Biotone among others. And in honour of the festival, Jan Swam recorded a very special mix as part of the Betonska Basta series. Here’s what he has to say about it:

“This is Alejandro aka Jan Swam, label manager of the Spanish label organic Sings. I want to present you a very special mix that has been made in honour of Refractor, a very special date that is taking place on the 27th of May in a secret spot in the middle of nature next to Madrid.

And I say it's very special because it's a like collaborative mix: I asked each artist playing at Refractor to send me a couple of tracks that reminded them of an event like this, and I mixed them together with my contribution and the one of Iggy P.

I also wanted to show that in a world where there is a lot of toxic competition, joining forces always wins in the end. Betonska and Organic Signs have re-released different akas by Seb Taylor (Biotone & Digitalis), and nothing makes me happier than meeting each other and being able to collaborate on this mix.

Thanks to Seb Taylor aka Kaya Project aka Digitalis aka Biotone, Emilia Grima, High Future, K.O.P. 32, Parallax, Remotif, Servei, Sybil, Tadan and of course Iggy P. I really enjoyed listening and mixing your selection.”

Hilltown Disco - Italo Special (14/7/23)

Recorded live at Altenburg in Prague earlier this year, we're pleased to share something special from Rat Life Record's head honcho Credit 00 for this week's mix edition. 

Combining electro, breaks, new wave, house and more, this mix is everything we've come to expect from 00's eclectic sound; skilfully unexpected and playful, while nodding to clear earlier influences such as hip hop and 80's ghetto. 

With releases on the likes of Pinkman, Uncanny Valley, Mechatronica and more, Credit 00 is an artist with a voice and one we're keen to hear more of.
