Alex is an Italian DJ and Music Producer. A few years ago, he took his first steps playing private events,
which led him to work in numerous nightclubs in the north of Italy and beyond.
In recent years, he has become more driven and influenced by the Melodic Techno genre, and has
dedicated himself to refining his sound and production skills.
He has had numerous releases on labels such as Reload Records, Aviary Recordings, Katz&Kauz and
Bullfinch, to name a few.
His desire to design new soundscapes and bring a unique touch to the music, has result in new stunning
EPs.
In continuous musical and technical evolution, he is working on his electronic live project.

Hey guys. I was invited to play for a new festival in a mountain resort in Cyprus for Incognito - opening a new House stage alongside their Psy and DnB/Jungle stages. Out of all of my sets I felt like on this one I took the biggest musical risks changing the vibe and energy occasionally and I re-bought some great tracks from my past that I'd lately been reminded of so let me know what you think. 

Background: I run an intimate event called PROGRESS:ON & since lockdown I have learned to stream on Twitch and record to Youtube to keep everybody's vibe high.

Ben Weber is a self-proclaimed sound-anarchist. Catchy melodies embedded in well-structured arrangements and airy beats define his sound.   His influences stem from his youth where he was mesmerised by punk, metal and wave. Ben´s sound has been proven over and over again with recent Beatport Top 100's as well as support from some of the industries biggest artists like: Marco Carola, Laurent Garnier, Maceo Plex, Coyu, Oliver Koletzki,  Luciano, Dubfire & many more.... 
His wonderful debut EP on Parquet Recordings named "The Glade" was released in April 2016.

3 QUESTIONS to PETE OAK:

Q: Talking about your mix: how did these tracks have an impact on your career?

A: All of these tracks have had a big influence on me music-wise. In some way or another these tracks kinda describe different periods in my life with music. I mean this mixtape is only 1 hour and if I had to make a mixtape that included ALL the songs that have meant something to me, that mixtape would be lasting for weeks.

Q: From Aalborg/Denmark to the world. Did you ever think about to move to bigger "scene citys" such as Berlin or Barcelona?

A: I actually lived in Barcelona for 6 months. That made it easier for me when I had to fly out for gigs. Sometimes it is a bit difficult for promotors to book me as flights aren’t always the easiest to manage from Aalborg. But I love my city and we have a great House/Techno community here. Maybe some day I will go discover the world, but I’m actually really satisfied with my small hometown.

Q: Which Pete Oak and Blindfold Recordings projects are coming soon?	
		
A: I have some projects coming up on Stil Vor Talent and Blindfold Recordings. But right now I’m working on something completely different project that isn’t house music. Hopefully I will get some more time to get my house-vibes going again over the summer.

"Music can often explain feelings better than words” - something you could also say about the work of the Leipzig based producer, who got into techno music after he moved from his suburb home into the city of Leipzig. Impressed by the diversity of sounds, he started to play DJ Sets and produced his first own tracks in 2013. After exploring various styles under different pseudonyms and improving his productions skills, gradually his taste in music got shaped and led to his alias “Aio”, which was born in early 2016. His music is characterised by variable soundscapes with an eye for detail. After playing his first Live-Sets on Festival and Club Systems he is all set to tell the world his stories.
