Moakz's stunning debut album 'The Critical Path', releases on double 12" vinyl and digital on 6th June 2025. Beautifully mastered by Beau Thomas at Ten Eight Seven, and with stunning artwork produced by Clayton Burke, the release finds the artist in fine form, showcasing his cinematic sound in full length for the first time.

After a series of releases over the past four years, the Southampton, UK-based DJ / Producer and co-owner / A&R of Codename: RCRDS finally drops his distinctive debut LP , drawing on influences as diverse as film scores, soul, jazz, post-rock and techno for a warm, deep and often emotional take on the drum and bass / atmospheric drumfunk sound.

The release includes the full LP and 3 digital only bonus tracks, exclusive to Bandcamp.

Last night’s Liquid Assets show delivered. Jimmy opened the first hour with a finely tuned selection of the freshest new liquid releases, setting the tone with deep rolling vocal liquid– everything the show is known for.

In the second hour, Liquefaction took over with a set made entirely of his own unreleased dubs. Full of his emotionally rich and beautifully deep sound, the Oxford-based producer and DJ showcased why his music continues to appear in Liquid Assets tracklists month after month.

With releases dropping soon on Glitch Audio, Lizplay and Sub Wavelength – Liquefaction proved exactly why he’s one to watch.

I've been meaning to look back at this mix for some time, ever since I mixed and earlier version live on radio, so here it is, 26 track's selected from the iconic 'Shelflife' series. 

This was not an easy mix to compile, with over 100 tracks to choose from it took me a bit of time to finally come up with the final track selection (room to do a PT2). So I hope you enjoy the mix and that I have given this phenomenal producer and series the love and respect it deserves.
