This week it is our absolute pleasure to welcome @bakeymusic onto our series with a very special 100% Productions mix!!!

First capturing the UK’s attention through a number of viral edits, Bakey has gone on to establish himself as an integral figure in the contemporary UKG and Breaks scene through releases on Time Is Now, ec2a, Breaka Recordings, Pineapple Records and many more. Bakey’s sharp production is matched by his finesse in the booth. Guest mixes on Rinse, Balamii, sable and Subtle have allowed Bakey to secure bookings across the UK, shutting down venues with 23 Degrees and Keep Hush. 

For his GAB guest mix, Bakey has chosen to weaponise his arsenal of unreleased material. Kicking things off with an acid-ridden soulful breakbeat number, Bakey smoothly navigates his way through dubstep-infused breaks and sinister 2step, to close with a couple of simply outrageous edits.

"Client_03 - Host Body Rule set. 

The Host Body is selected Through process of elimination to physically represent Client_03 in a performance setting. This is a commencalistic relationship in which Client_03 benefits and the host body feels nothing and has no recollection of the experience. 

Below is the the formula given to the host body as a base on which to elaborate for the duration of the performance. Whether or not the Host body can add have add value based on performative gestures is unclear. Future iterations may include limitations on the host body’s physical movement.

In Conclusion: 

The General progress measured through the collective appreciation of the Testbed as whole is greatly increasing. The current host body is satisfactory and will continue to serve as above with further experimentation and iteration on the process to ensure that its performance ability is viewed as <70% Favourable to the Testbed as a whole."

@Eusebeia returning to light up Croatia again for Membrain Festival2022. This versatile producer has released on @dead-mans-chest, @modernconveniences and Repertoire Sound, with a forthcoming EP for @samuraimusicgroup sees him representing the label in celebrating it's 15th year at @membrainfestival. Crowd favourite and a humble talent, we're counting the days for his return!

"This mix is a selection of mostly my own work, including some unreleased sketches and ideas which might become future album tracks, some recent tracks from my new compilation Cosmology, music from forthcoming releases and a couple of older tracks that went relatively under the radar. I also included a beat-less version of "The Lake" from my last EP Torchlight vol.1 which I personally enjoy listening to more than the original.

It is difficult to speak too much about my own work because I believe we are all transceivers of information, and therefore my thoughts on the music won't be the same as yours so why preach about it? The best way I could describe the mix is to say it is threading a line from past to future via the present, and stylistically somewhat skewed to what you might consider "typical" of my stuff...perhaps.

Stylistically I hope to have brought the more etheric side of my work to the forefront for this selection, making it, I hope a good repeated listen. I think the best mixes take their time and fill a space around other tasks rather than demanding your entire concentration for an hour or more.

@Compauk’s been away for a minute, but the producer is back with a brand new EP on Deep Medi (from which we recently premiered the excellent ‘Four Four Claps’). DJ Metatron aka Traumprinz - 2 The Sky

The music Aurora Halal creates is informed by many different disciplines. She is a producer, but also a videographer and visual artist who has worked on films about modular synth godfather Morton Subotnick amongst others. She is also the force behind Brooklyn’s Mutual Dreaming party series as well as the Sustain-Release festival. In just a couple of years she has cooked up an expressive and experimental techno sound—solo and with the likes of Ital—on labels such as Lovers Rock and her own Mutal Dreaming Recordings. Oppressive and foggy, her distorted, imperfect sounds made up of heavy drums and scurrying synths have taken her to plenty of remarkable live gigs all over the world. Now she steps up to our mix series with equal aplomb.
