Madrid based artist and Rotten City Records label boss Alvaro Cabana joins Roam Recordings with the Amor Salvaje EP featuring Snem K. The EP offers two gritty stompers driven with leftfield electronics for which the artist has come to be known. The EP is backed by two stunning remixes. The first is Paulor who takes on the title track and delivers a hypnotic version that brings the decadence with a heavy purposeful guitar. LA Duo Club Tularosa rounds this out with an epic and wild psychedelic ride.

Vordergrundmusik revisit Martin Merz’s ‘Vertigo’ LP, featuring remixes from Extrawelt, re:deep, T.Raumschmiere, and Rittik Wystup. After making his debut on Vordergrundmusik in 2017 with ‘Prisma’, Frankfurt-based DJ and producer Martin Merz has remained a regular on the label and returned with his ‘Vertigo’ LP earlier this year. The imprint now revisits the eleven-track album and invites a selection of producers to rework three tracks in the shape of ‘Vertigo - The Remixes’ - welcoming re:deep, T.Raumschmiere, Rittik Wystup, and Extrawelt. Label owner Michael Schreiber, aka re:deep, kicks off the series with his interpretation of ‘Aural Drift’ boasting a vivacious beat and inviting harmonies, leading into the remix from T.Raumschmiere, co-founder of Shitkatapult, who reworks the track into an energetic 135 bpm frenzy. Rittik Wystup’s version of ‘Back To Life’ offers a net of sharp drums and trickling piano tones between striking synth jabs and arcane vocals, before making way for German duo Extrawelt (Cocoon). The duo delivers two powerful remixes of ‘Highlights’, with the cinematic, electro-infused ‘Cluster Buster Remix’ raising the energy once again and driving towards the peak time, before huge 808s and raw synths combine across the escalating ‘Laser Blazer Remix’ to make for a fitting finale to the series.

Owner of the interesting label U’re Guay Records, Imanol lands on the Varese-based imprint and party series this is not with his “BBY” EP, which consists of two solid originals and one groovy remix made with love by Italian duo we.amps (SXDNS285).

Hailing from Montevideo, Uruguay, Imanol is that kind of artist that, despite the young age, is greatly influenced by the ‘70s and ‘80s. Funk & Disco layers and elements are extremely present in his productions and sets, no wonder his tracks have met the likes of internationally acclaimed DJs like Folamour, Jacques Renault, Rahaan (SXDNS116), Javi Frías (SXDNS004), among others.

He is also a lover of good quality Disco-infused House Music – and this is precisely the kind of sonority he delivered on “BBY”. The title track, premiered here, brings the Uruguayan producer flirting with a Fidget atmosphere through the use of samples and a strong presence of synth arrangements, clearly showing Imanol's vision of electronic music.

PREMIERE - Lunatic Wonderer - Effortless Understanding (Eastern Standard)

Born In Mexico returns with the fourth instalment of the 'Tándem' series. Original versions by SÜSS from Guadalajara and from Ciudad Juárez, Lorely Mur. Remix offerings by Jenouise from Zombies In Miami and resident of the Bar Americas, Kassie. 

The EP opens with “Ultraviolet” by SÜSS, a powerful track with a distorted kick, atmospheric deep, electric and desolate. It is followed by Kassie's version of "Ultraviolet", an energetic cut with a dreamy vibe, accompanied by stroboscopic synthesizers.

Paradox Psychosis” offers  solid, rumbling and deep drums, alongside
a mystery synth. 

To close the EP is the remix made by Jenouise, a
resonant track full of breaks,  firm drums and an electrifying rolling bass mixed withacid synthesizers.

We close the year with this EP by the heads and minds of the label that showcases the versatility and creativity of electronic music. It's a very diverse EP that ranges from simple breaks to eclectic and fast dance rhythms that will unsettle you without a doubt. The strongest common point of connection between side a and side b is the absence of vocals that allow the music to speak for itself. While Imanol created two atmospheric tracks transporting the listener into a transcendental journey filled with ethereal melodies and hypnotic rhythms creating an introspective sound, Panko, on the other hand, materialized two tracks that catapulted the listener into latin rhythms and frenetic electronic elements and captured the essence of our fast-paced modern times, reflecting the accelerated trend in which we live through. The EP's flow is carefully crafted to keep the listener captivated from start to finish. From the spiritual ambiance of Imanol's tracks to the exhilarating energy of Panko's compositions. While Imanol invites us to embark on a mystical journey, Panko immerses us in an exhilarating panorama of the world. The juxtaposition creates a dynamic listening experience, demonstrating the vast range of emotions and moods electronic music can evoke.

Imanol is always looking for the groove, he’s a digger and loves to find lost songs. In 2018 he mounted his own label U’re Guay Records publishing dozens of emerging artists from around the world opening doors to constantly continue releasing his music for various labels such as Golden Soul Records (GER), Electric Music Foundation (USA), About Disco (BR), Muzic X Press (UY), This is not (IT), Dark mirror (RU), LW Recordings (UK), Jade (FR), Kyma Komplex (MX) among others. His music has been selected by DJs of the size of Folamour, Jacques Renault, Freddy Fresh, MCDE, Rahaan, Javi Frías, James Rod, among others. After a decade of musicing any encounter, the rhythm of presentations has become constant in clubs and parties in Uruguay emerging new opportunities in several countries around the globe.

U're Guay Vol. 76 is a captivating EP by Imanol that showcases his eclectic creativity. Fusing sounds from the past and present, he blends iconic instruments like the TR 909 rhythm machine and synthesizers like the avant-garde fairlight CMI, Jupiter, Farfisa, and Korg MS20, alongside modern sounds crafting intricate and complex melodies with high-energy and acid sounds incorporating sampled snippets from legendary scientific press conferences by Marie Curie and Albert Einstein. This EP truly represents Imanol's musical experimentation and features an electrifying live jam to close the EP with a single-word vocalization by himself.

If the underground electronic music scene in South America has been booming, it is not only because of the massive number of great talents that have popped up recently but also due to the incredible curation work some labels have been executing – and the prolific U’re Guay Records is one of these channels. The Montevidean outlet finished last year with “All Remixes Vol. 1”, a bold 25-track compilation featuring some of the hottest Latino acts allied with spot-on contributions from across the pond; and now, it kicks off 2025 with another thrilling collection of gems: The 13-cut VA “PERCS” comes packed with solid works from Alírio & Tuxe, Anastasia Zems, CABE, DJ Karen, Ella De Vuono & Etcetera, Encanto, Franco Galán & Zoras, Glo My Feat. Vital, Panko Feat. Rumi De Baires, Praqqa, Tinitus, Whitney Weiss, and Imanol. Premiered here, the latter’s contribution. 

With appearances on Golden Soul, Kyma Komplex, About Disco, and his very own U’re Guay, master Imanol successfully flirts with many of his main influences in order to bring his vision of dance floor music to life. Expect an eclectic and colourful output filled with Disco, Funk, Indie, House, Acid, Techno, and even Trance references.

For his contribution to “PERCS”, Imanol invites us for a cosmic trip through his pop culture influences. Using fragments from the famous “Where No Man Has Gone Before” speech of the original 1966-1969 Star Trek science fiction television series, Imanol started working on a way to translate such influences into music, and the result is a frenzied theme brimming with euphoria and nostalgia, starring robust Acid and Electro displays.

Imanol crafts a hypnotic journey through four distinct yet connected soundscapes. Microchip pulses with a futuristic edge, bringing an AI implant to life as it establishes its first telepathic connection with its host. Torcido twists and turns through a spiral of tension and release, driven by a lead synth that seems to move on its own. Barrio Japonés lights the way with neon flashes and echoes of a nostalgic future. Franco Galán closes the EP with his minimalist take on Microchip, pushing it into a more hypnotic and cerebral realm.
