Syde Affect @ Daydream Festival 2024

Ethereal, otherwise known as Gabriela Hogg, is a Progressive Trance artist whose music drifts between high-energy beats and dreamy, atmospheric vibes. Originally from South Africa, she began nearly ten years ago as a bedroom DJ in her teens, experimenting with different genres until she found her deep connection with trance.

Since then, she’s been steadily growing her presence in the local trance scene, driven by a love for emotional expression and the freedom to explore sound. These days, her focus is on creating original tracks that capture her own unique vision. Her sets are about lifting spirits and crafting moments that stay with you long after the music fades.

Biography

I grew up in the mother City (Cape Town) South Africa. 

I grew up loving music and first listened to hip hop and EDM. Then, on a trip  with friends, I heard a Major7 track and instantly fell in love with Trance I started going to music festival and being active in the music scene 

It wasn't until 2017 until I thought about creating my own music. After spending nearly a year in the music scene, I finally got my first gig and then decided that music was my passion and started to build my brand and music career. 

Since that day I was filled with gratitude for the opportunity to play music in front of a audiences, and I realized that music is the best way to spread my love and energy to people. 

I have a few other ideas and absolute hits that I know you guys would love  on the way, stay tuned for the progress.
