I have been a fan of Margo Guryan since my first boyfriend introduced me to her music some years back. From the very first time I listened to her, each song filled me with joy. Somewhere along the way another friend and I were talking about Margo and he mentioned that she had a Facebook account and often added her fans. I had just done a cover of “I’d Like to See the Bad Guys Win” for my new album, so I sent my version to her and told her how much she inspired me. To my surprise, she replied with words of encouragement. It’s an indescribable feeling to get any kind of feedback from your idols… and Margo’s love for music and her fans was so apparent and so special. We remained internet friends, and she once gave me the advice: “DON’T compare your music to anyone else’s! Just write whatever you want… let it take care of itself!” 
	Margo was such a precious soul. She touched the lives of so many, mine included. Words can’t describe how grateful I am to have spoken with her and to have called her a friend. The world seems less sunny and warm without her. 
	I wanted to do something to celebrate her memory, so I did a cover of my favorite Margo Guryan song. I hope you enjoy it. <3
