Whether it’s producing, remixing or dj’ing, Sander Kleinenberg has been building credibility on all fronts for over twenty-five years. He has established himself as an advocate of progress and most of all, a pivotal player on the frontier of electronic music. Starting out dj-ing at merely fifteen years old, a young Sander Kleinenberg was inspired by club music and hip-hop culture in the late eighties. This cultural shift inspired his own musical path, which in turn led to him traveling the world and spreading his sound along the way. Many awards, accolades and having performed all corners of the world later you could say it was destiny. 

Often mentioned when talking about the first wave of superstar dj’s from the progressive house wave around the turn of the century, Sander brought a mixture genres and styles to the table like never heard before. Quirky disco, psychedelia, Detroit techno, straight up soul and industrialism contributed greatly to the ever-evolving musical landscape in the ‘90s and 00’s. Sander’s eclectic persona and capability to always be two steps ahead of the rest have resulted in him being an award-winning dj and producer. As time passes by and his career unfolds, the pattern within it becomes more and more visible, Sander is a man on the move, always searching for the “perfect mix” in his own words. Sander’s relentless passion for perfection has kept him away from classification, putting hours upon hours into the enrichment of dj- and producer identity. Constantly twisting and shaping sounds. It’s this search for relevance in electronic musics development that keeps him re-inventing himself in every decade that has gone by since those early days. 

Today Sander looks back at his journey and thought it was time to make up the balance of all the corners of progress his career has taken him. You could call it a full circle type moment settling for nothing else but quality. If you are looking for someone who has searched high and low and has taken that into his current musical identity then Sander is your man. Like a fine wine matured into something wonderful.. Weaving generations, styles and a healthy eye on the future together in a relevant cocktail of musical maturity. In 2024 after a time of rejuvenation you can find Sander at a select number of dates around the world, revisiting his love for the clubs and countries that accompanied his journey along the way. He has a string of releases on the way marking his comeback to the dance floor both behind the decks and in the charts. It is time to once again rekindle his ability to bring levity and fun back to the dance floors.

Dealing with day-to-day inhouse promotions and tournaments by day and a narcissistic music junkie by night, Wilson was drawn towards music subconsciously at the age of 12. It was in 1999 when he was first introduced to the Global Underground series which ignited his interest in music as a whole. This was when his love for electronic music grew by leaps and bounds.
Shortly after, his knowledge in music genres expanded, he diversified his tastes and styles into other sounds, not just limited to the GU label, but also the likes of Frank Sinatra, Nina Simone, Zero7, DJ Gregory, Kerri Chandler and to the other spectrums of the musical genre from various artists such as Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, Showtek, Eddie Halliwell, Erykah Badu etc.
Keeping a low profile in the electronic dance music circuit since his return from Melbourne (Australia) in early 2008, he is known for his tune selections and recorded output of the Singapore renowned collective “Frontallabs” in Melbourne and Singapore. He is also instantly recognizable to many of his loyal fans in Singapore. During a spell with Frontallabs working with Feng (Chief writer/editor of Frontallabs and Juice DJ Quest Champ 2005), Wilson had contributed much for the night “We Love House” with djB @ Zouk, numerous fun playing at Homeclub as guest DJ with Trance Republic, official web media for various events such as Zoukout, Heineken Found @ Thirst, launch of Vodka Vanilla, as well as working with the likes of Damien K (One of foundationKL ambassadors), Brandon and Jill (Founder of PureHardDance in Melbourne), North-East CDC and Ngee Ann poly to introduce and to educate electronic music culture and industry, E-Trax Studio and Republic Poly for our teaching curriculums, and many others.

At present his styles are geared towards the sound that has the vibe of Tomorrowland, Awakenings Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, MayDay, Time Warp, UMF, Creamfields, as he believes a melting pot of styles generates from this very genre. His strong belief in dishing out quantitative ‘phatt’ tunes and beats at parties and getting the hardcore punters throwing fists in the air with musical awe, got him a place in Singapore's leading electronic dance music consortium in 2002. This has taken him far and wide, with the reception growing towards refining and explore further in his sound and style. 
2012 is the year, where he will be taking on a different scope to his aural expeditions. So pay close attention to this chap as he dices up some tunes that will change your perception of dance culture and music in general. From deep house to trance, electro to house, Itchi proves himself as one of the most exciting DJs to watch. Armed with an arsenal of tunes under his sleeves and winning over numerous hearts and ears of punters, Itchi has graced the decks of numerous parties at Singapore's finest - Zouk Club, Cafe Del Mar, Home Club, Butter Factory, Liquid Room, Centro 360, Nox, Milk Bar, Insomnia Café, Dbl O, Hacienda, and Mimolette, among others.

Hybrid are Mike & Charlotte Truman who have gained international acclaim for their combination contemporary electronic music with enveloping orchestral scores and soundscapes. Hybrid's first artist album ‘Wide Angle’ in 1999 was considered to be ground breaking in fusing modern production with performances from the Russian Federal Orchestra. They have written a further three artist albums, toured around many of the world’s most iconic music venues and festivals and have remixed artists as diverse as New Order, Radiohead, UNKLE, Alanis Morrisette, Jean Michelle Jarre, Moby, Future Sound Of London and The Orb.

A natural progression from their orchestral heavy albums inevitably led them into film scoring and they have recently composed the soundtrack for Jim Gillespie’s forthcoming thriller Take Down, Sony’s PS4 worldwide #1 Driveclub, Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier and the Bruce Willis sci-fi thriller, Vice. Hybrid have worked extensively throughout the film music industry on many titles including Hercules, The Equalizer, Total Recall and The Fast & Furious franchise.

Their heavyweight combination of soaring orchestration and cutting edge production has kept them in demand amongst a growing number of film makers which will shortly include a complete music preparation and score for John Stephenson's Interlude In Prague. A pure music enthusiast regardless of all the music genres out there, anything that can make his body groove is considered music to Fiq. His first musical encounter was his uncle’s old gramaphone when he was young, which was the closest thing related to a turntable he had ever seen then. Unfortunately, after countless “dabbling” with it, his uncle migrated overseas and that was the last time he’d ever seen a gramophone. 

It was only in his Polytechnic days that he found a similar piece of equipment that rekindled his passion. Despite being both a sports and music enthusiast, he knew he had to sacrifice one of them in order to strive in the other. On one hand he was handling events and organising sports activites for his school, and on the other, creating and producing electronic music which was his “fortress of solitude”. Eventually he decided to drop his Sports Management duties and pursue music head on with like-minded enthusiasts from the Electronic Music Production ECA Group @ Republic Polytechnic (RP). 

Ever relentless in learning new stuff about music, his attitude has constantly brought his sounds to new heights. Not only did he learn about reinforcing sounds and producing tracks, he was also trained in the arts of performing as a DJ by the renowned Frontallabs. 

His first official debut was at RP’s year-end party. His “un-official”, however, was at Club Rouge with his mentor Weili (Frontallabs) spinning. He was amazed and blown away by the crowd’s reaction to the DJ whenever a new track is being dropped. Although it was only a mere 15 minutes of fame for him then, the experience led him to decide to take up DJing seriously, and make every subsequent performance a night to remember.

After completing his DJ Course with Frontallabs, he started to play in clubs/bars all over the country including Phuture (Zouk), HOME Club, BBBC(Bar Baa Black Chic), and Acid Bar(Rouge). Other non-club events he has graced includes a Gaming Event(Tampines Mall), NOISE Singapore 2006(Marina Square), NDP Fringe Festival 2006(Kallang), M1 Fringe Festival with EPIC [local freeform band] (Esplanade Outdoor Theater) as a special guest DJ, as well as Heineken Thirst 2006 where he was the warm-up DJ throughout the preliminary rounds. Apart from that, he has even co-produced a short track for a Gaming Event in RP, and worked with his other mentor, Feng (Frontallabs) in organising club events. 

After a near 2 year hiatus from the nightlife scene due to National Service, it was only in early 2009 that he decided to form a collective that comprises of EDM enthusiasts. The aim was to push out new local DJs into the club scene and educate the masses about the different genres of EDM. Initial members approached were those from RP’s EMP and after a few rounds of discussions, COUP was formed in mid-2009. Eventually the collective made their debut at Blu Jaz Café in May 2009, and are continuously reaching out to other clubs for COUP sessions. 

Ever constantly trying to refine his technique and skills to give his all whenever he performs, Fiq is always up to the challenge due to his versatility in most of the EDM genres. Regardless of a 4/4 structure or a broken beat, he has proven that he can step up his game and shun away his obstacles. Ultimately, his “weapon of choice” is the signature deep and sexy House sound that he loves.
