Inspired by Kendrick Lamar and the fan theories surrounding a rumored follow-up companion album to DAMN. called “NATION.” Fans hypothesized that, when combined, the two albums would spell “DAMNATION.” 

I titled my new instrumental “NATION?” because I felt that the song’s vibe captured themes that could have been explored in a Kendrick Lamar album like the one his fans theorized. Harlem Renaissance vibes. Not so different than “Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers”
