After “diskotripo”, the first Sylphomatic release on Logia Records, with great impact, we present two great remixes, one by the founders of Maleante Records (Mx) Corresponsal and Diskontrol, with their characteristic energy, faithful to the Maleante sound. The other remix, a beautiful piece by Chinosynth, this great producer from Sinaloa, Mx, a member of Nativo. Together they make this a very powerful release.

PREMIERE : Sylphomatic - Red Action (Chinosynth Remix) (Logia Records)

The rising & shining Belgian duo Sylphomatic (SXDNS354) debuted on Logia Records not so long ago. Their “Diskotripo” EP, featuring three stunning and fiery-as-hell originals, reached the “shelves” of digital retailers in December last year and is now back presenting this time two remixes made with love by some of the hottest Mexican young talents: Corresponsal & Diskontrol (SXDNS254) and Chinosynth (FREEDL021).

It was also not so long ago that the duo appeared for the first time in the Indie Dance/Dark Disco spectrum: Their “Eyes On Karman” EP, released on the mighty NEIN Records, came with a thumping five-track selection (yes, all originals) and introduced the craft of the Brussels-based artists to the world.

But let’s go back to the present, shall we? Premiered here, the insightful interpretation of “Super High”, brought to life by Corresponsal & Diskontrol, marks the first collaboration between the young Latino producers. In their hands, Sylphomatic’s piece got less distorted but rockier, slightly slower (from 125 to 123 BPM) but more acid. Both focus on the peak time – successfully!

These two old pals are part of that generation of creators who are unafraid to cross their music to create and play an exciting new sound. If you need a potion to get you tripping on the dancefloor, Sylphomatic has the recipe to take you on an endless journey.

Drawing from their passion for clubbing, Sylphomatic adds a shamanic dimension. These modern-day dancefloor gurus want to take you on a love-bound, trancelike journey.

On remix duties, two friends of the house!
Parissior returned to the label with a darker and vibing version of  « Out Of This ». Diego Montiel also spoils us with his dancefloor and energetic interpretation of « Wet Ritual »!

PREMIERE: Sylphomatic - Out Of This (Parissior Remix) [CRITICAL MONDAY]

Curated by rising star Bonnie Spacey (SXDNS337/BLOG010), Critical Monday reaches the 19th chapter of its beautiful journey. Doing the honours, Sylphomatic (SXDNS354) cooked two savoury dance-floor-oriented cuts and invited two of the most established artists of the so-called Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene for the remix duties: none other than the big bosses of Espacio Cielo, Parissior (SXDNS206/FREEDL043/TAKEOVER002/BANDCAMP002/RASTROLIVE009), and Side Up Works, Diego Montiel (SXDNS194).

Hailing from Brussels, the solid Belgian duo, if big beer fans like yours truly, have the chance of holding awesome studio sessions with the company of some delicious lambics from the internationally acclaimed local brewery Cantillon. If not, the studio sessions must be awesome anyway. True music & clubbing lovers, the lads successfully manage to bring together their different influences and individualities to deliver a competent and well-constructed output.

The track we were solicited to review/premiere is not one of the originals, though, but the outstanding version made with love & shadow by master Diego Montiel. Owner of another vital independent label, he makes his debut on Critical featuring an interpretation of the trippy “Wet Ritual” embedded with his characteristic sonority: the trippiness is still there, but with more drive and a punchier attitude, turning the theme into a livelier cut.

We are proud to present Extra Extra!, a new compilation where we share new remixes or versions of past releases, and some other rarities.

This time we have a remix by Kammeleon to “Acid Mantra” by Cosmosolar, with even more acidic overtones. Panko reissues its track “Electra”, this time an exclusive version for Pride 2023, Cu Da Curuxa with a new remix to “Super High” by our friends at Sylphomatic. Closes the tracklist Cali Burton that contributes her remix to “Zodiaco” by Andre Rech, one of the latest releases from the label that has had a great impact.
