With hundreds of cows and pups only a few metres away from the coastal path it was possible to record at levels that helped reduce the roar of surf and unwanted noises from shipping. 

Recorded at 1am on the 7th December 2015 with a pair of MKH40’s arranged ORTF into a SD MixPre and 702.

A cada episódio, visitamos um selo, retratado por uma conversa e uma mixtape produzidas por nós.
Nesse primeiro episódio, com muita alegria, recebemos Gabriela Nobre, do selo Música Insólita, que surgiu em 2018 e é formado atualmente pela própria Gabriela e por Filipi Pompeu.

The Assignment: Record the sound of ice in a glass and make something with it.

Step 1: Please record the sound of an ice cube rattling in a glass, and make something of it.

Process: First I was amazed that the first Disquiet Junto project should be already 9 years ago! :O feels like, maybe 3 years.

I still got the recordings of the very first ice cube in a glass project in a folder, however I decided to record new samples, employing stereo microphones and a contact microphone. For the glass I used a large pharmacy flask. This leads to different source recordings but also I decided to use the ice-glass recordings only, created an interesting rhythmic loop and decorated it with stretched and otherwise manipulated sample snippets from the recordings. enjoy & happy new year!

En esta sesión haremos una introducción a la idea de imaginación, ética potencia y democracia en términos radicales que manejó Spinoza. En contra del individualismo, el reconocimiento singularista y los proyectos curriculares unipersonales que llenan nuestro imaginario contemporáneo y político, pensaremos en una política material del común.
