La Brise (@la_brise) is part of the La Baraque Crew (@la-baraque-collectif) from Fribourg. Known for his incredible smooth mixes and great selection he prepared for us an insight into his ambient collection.

What he tells us about his mix:

I recorded this mix on a rainy sunday morning. Had no idea what to expect as i usually blend in ambient tracks so people can leave the club to get some fresh air. Turns out, I can play more than 2 consecutive ambient tracks without being bored to death. A pleasant surprise. Still ended up putting a destiny's child remix in there. But it works, trust me.

Time and space or is it time and place: young guys making old stuff sound new, or new stuff which sounds old? A formula one never seems to tire of especially in this day and age where all is accessible and so many boundaries are blurred.

Looking back and remembering the times one would kick dust across the dancefloor in a nonchalant sway… Forgotten memories of the past replaced by a screen as a modern window to escapism. However sad these prospects might seem, wherever or whenever one listens to sound there is always room for some glimmers of hope sparkling in ones mind and waiting to be let out. The future depends on how you build it, just make sure the foundations are solid and the rest will follow!
