SIFD01 | FRAN LF

is a Sicilian DJ / Producer based in Amsterdam who prides himself in dealing old school, groove centric techno.

Distilling influences from the 90s and early 2000s which draw upon the sounds recognisable from hip hop and ghetto techno, Fran LF’s passion for the craft of DJing is evident. 

His track selection operates alongside a 3-4 deck mixing format, woven together with a particularly recognisable mixing style which combines fast and choppy cuts with playful backspins.

With the recent emergence of his event collective Vibrant and a debut label release with none other than ghetto tech legend Robert Armani’s Traxman Records, Amsterdam has yet another talented artist emerging from the underground.

Unveiling itself as our second sonic treasure within the Mammboh Rhythms repertoire, emerges a vibrant narrative woven throughout our journey across the Andean lands of Colombia, Chile, and Ecuador. Amidst these explorations, we wove together enchanting moments that encapsulated the essence of extraordinary locales, and we chose to immortalize them within the grooves of a 12-inch vinyl. One of the gems adorning the EP is a special collaboration with one piece with VIL and another one with Cravo, 2 special artists with mastery in crafting rhythms and grooves we deeply admire. United in creativity, we birthed a composition that speak about the 3 projects and styles.

We are glad to present this new EP by label owner Arkan.

This is one is a tribute to the process of dancing, that contributed a lot into healing part of himself and connect with people from all around the world without speaking since he arrived in Berlin 5 years ago.

Music is one of the most pure and powerful form of transmission, it transmit our deepest feelings and thoughts and have the power to express sometimes what words can’t.

Sometimes its the only last thing we have left and it keeps hope, unite peoples during hard times. Thats why going to dance and share with people on music reflect all the beauty of our humanity, something we need more than ever nowadays.

Dancing also helped him to earn confidence in his body and mind, something important to be able to find yourself and feeling aligned in who you are, a person in constant evolution.
