Furtive is a full-gonzo rave conjurer and relentless creative tinkerer, intractably committed to the rave as a Philadelphia-based producer, DJ, underground event organizer, and dancer. A shifting sonic chameleon, Furtive brings a scintillating, sentimental, and psychedelic touch to their artistry, rooted in wormhole-traversing technoid propulsion and dependably delivering riotous, slack-jawed whiplash moments of the delightfully unexpected. Their many polished and focused genre-spanning productions are informed by over thirteen years of experience in the studio, yielding a rich selection of tracks across their self-released discography, vinyl pressings, and contributions to compilations. A veritable product of the contemporary American underground, Furtive cut their teeth as a DJ and DIY event organizer in Washington, DC’s warehouses, where they once played a variety of turnkey roles in putting on some of the District’s more proper techno parties. Furtive co-founded and co-runs Bounce House, an intimate, blossoming off-the-books venue in Philly where they regularly hold court as a resident. Furtive is on broadcast monthly through Ashen Vanity, a radio residency at Philadelphia’s indispensable cultural mainstay Great Circles. As a DJ, Furtive has played hallowed halls (recently rampaging at Nowadays and Basement), dingy holes, roaring renegades, broadcast booths, and festivals (The Great Beyond '23, '24, and headlining in '25, Honcho Campout '24, Making Time '25) - always with eclectic selections and a steadfast focus on pacing and dynamics while regularly jumping genres to build moving and impactful sets, often alongside internationally celebrated, no-nonsense acts. Beyond the fog and speaker stacks, Furtive creates art in a variety of mediums. They're as unapologetic in their sincerity and flair as they are in being a die-hard True Believer in the rave.

Compulsive music digger since childhood, guitar player, dj and ex-promoter, David Vicuña managed a club in Spain for around 10 years, organizing many events and playing alongside many international artists. In 2013 he moved to Berlin to focus on his studio project.

FULL BIO:
After being a music digger and gatherer since a tender age and playing guitars in a couple of bands in the late 90s, David was attracted to electronic music from its origins and started djing in venues around year 2000. In 2003 he started his own club project at one of the classic venues of Salamanca (Spain), Submarino. With a university background in media and design, event promotion came naturally and the club succeeded, soon starting to program international guests. 2 years later the project was renamed as Cubic_club and moved to a bigger place, roughly 1000 people in 2 floors.

For the next 10 years David adamantly pursued his career organizing and playing at numerous events, acting as a programmer in two editions of Festival de las Artes de Castilla y León, and promoting the one-day event Day on Green Festival. In its 5 years of existence  Cubic_club became a household name in the Spanish and European scene, being nominated twice as best national club by Vicious Magazine. But sometimes good things have and end, so David moved on to the next stage, a fresh start in Berlin, focused again on  music creation while still sharing his music whenever he plays at clubs or at his radioshow, PidePistaFM, aired in a couple of radio stations in Spain (Radio Gredos Sur @107.6 FM, Avila, and Cadena Dance FM (107.9 – La Rioja y Álava / 104.1 – Tudela y Ribera Riojana, Navarra, Soriana y Aragonesa / 104.1 – Huesca y Pirineos aragoneses / 103.4 FM – Pamplona y toda su cuenca y 101.7 – Valle de Pallars – Lleida).
