The brand new show of Russian psytrance master Fungus Funk is coming to get you this Thursday 17th July, 8pm CET as next installment of our Psylife Series on the Trance channel. In The Dark #3, the nightpsy frenzy is here!
Fungus Funk aka Sergey Prilepa, the legendary Russian psytrance artist began writing psychedelic tunes right before the Millenium and started to release the first Fungus Funk tracks in 2001 on record labels like Acidance Records, Discovalley or Crystal Matrix and many others. His famous debut album called "F People" came out on Acidance in 2006 overflowing with groovy baselines, aggressive synths, warm melodies and those signature psychedelic atmospheres you can still experience on every Fungus Funk release ever since, be it an own composition or a remix made for a fellow musician. The second full-length Fungus Funk album found his home at half Russian, half Australian label Blitz Music, where Sergey released his third and last album to date as well in 2010 called "Electric Grooves". The original Fungus Funk sound always keeps a masterful balance of complex textures and arrangements that lead the listener through a deep and interesting journey of that hazy period of time between the psychedelic night and morning. These days Fungus Funk is busy working on the material of his forthcoming new studio album and interesting side-projects such as releasing under the name Astroff or collaborating with fellow psytrance musicians like Para Halu.

Mario Sounoglou is the Mind behind Kokobloko, Darkshire and Makumba Projects. He was born in Athens, Greece on 21st December 1984 and lives currently in Athens. Mario holds a BSc in Computer Science and an MSc in Computer Animation from University of Kent, UK.
Mario discovered Psychedelic Trance in the early 2000s, after attending various Music Festivals. He made his first steps in Music Production at the age of 20. In August 2004, Mario met Viktor Zolotarenko during one of his live performances in Athens and was influenced by his music style. A year later he released his first single with Zolod Parasense/Terminator on Vertigo Records.
New Releases followed in Labels such as Discovalley Records, Tantrumm, Manic Dragon, Drop Out Productions, Mighty Quinn, Trishula and Foot Stomping Records. In 2006, Mario teamed up with his friend Gregorio Materia Increada/GR and started experimenting on the Kokobloko Project, on which he continues solo two years later.
In 2009, his debut album “Darkshire & Amigos – Break Down” was published on Helicon Sound System and was followed by the split album “Distorted Shire” in collaboration with Nelsun/Mind Distortion System on Lycantrop Records.
Meanwhile collaborations appeared with Kolya Furious/Crazy Astronaut in Crazy Astronaut Renegade on Osom Music and with Fareji Jalebi on Parvati Records. In 2010, he expose more music on Labels such as Pukkawallah Records (Japan), Lycantrop Records, Deviant Force Records (Germany).
In 2011, Mario founded his own Label known as “Future Tribe Office” under which he released the debut Kokobloko & Friendz – Pobeg V Budushee Album. Later that year, Discovalley Records released his last work of Darkshire Project, the “Path of Memories” album. In 2013, Mario launched his new solo project “Makumba”, evolution of Darkshire sound with its Debut EP “Drawn to life”. In September 2014 he released the 2nd full length Kokobloko album “FutureProof” under his “Future Tribe Office” Label. In February 2015, a new collaboration with Matteo Radice from Italy led to “Brain Board” album release also on F.T.O. The 2nd Makumba EP “Spirit Matters” released on Insomnia Records in December 2015. Meanwhile from late 2014 the Obelisk Project was born . Obelisk is a trio consisting of Ectogasmics, and Darkshire/Makumba. In April 2016 Parvati Records
release the 1st Obelisk EP called “The fingerprint”.
Mario has performed numerous times in more than 19 countries worldwide such as Australia, Canada, U.S.A, Japan, Brazil, Russia, Germany, Italy, France, United Kingdom, Belgium, Portugal, Austria, Ukraine, Slovakia, Czech Republic, India, Nepal and of course in Greece.

Dated back from 1999, Syndrom arrives in London and discovers psytrance parties which lead him to become a dj playing progressive psytrance and UK acid techno.
Back in France in 2002, he tends towards a more psychedelic style ans start organizing parties with "crystal 27" and "toltek" in Nice and Marseille.
His musical style keeps on progressing, from forest to darkpsy and in 2010, he becomes a member of the "world people". Since then, his style is still in motion leading him to psycore and hi tech.
In 2012, his friend Remy Maurin (Principles Of Flight) and he give birth to a new project called P-A-I-N (Perveted Aliens In Neighborhood). Their first album is released the same year on
