I'm Afraid Of America

This track is a collaboration with Masha @masha-solo the vocalist of Archmage Band @archmageband She provided the lyrics and melody for my track and performed the vocals. I really love the lyrics inspired by Romain Rolland's novel series Jean-Christophe from 1904-1912. Please enjoy it.

Floating in a rowboat
On a calm, crystal clear lake
I’m thinking of a new song

During humid daytime,
While the summer’s heat does bake,
The new idea’s forming,
About the song I wish to make
It is just like the lake of my deepest thoughts
I only heard a little, but I’ll connect the dots,
I saw a shimmer of a multicoloured fish
It looked so beautiful that I made a wish
But when I try to catch it in my hands,
It slips away like a half formed thought,

Like a foggy morning dream
It shimmers so elusively
Has to be caught with care
Before you form the final draft,
You will have to prepare
I try so hard to express, not just to impress,
What’s deep inside my mind and heart,
And to turn the blossom of the start,
Into a real and truly profound art,
The closer to my vision,
The better it will be
