Every so often an artist emerges that captures our attention, makes us sit up and take note of what pure talent and anointing looks and sounds like.   Jessica Reedy is truly one of those artists … one listen and you will never forget the voice.

Reedy first came to our attention on the national TV competition BET’s Sunday Best.  She attended the Season 2 Sunday Best audition in Washington DC on a whim to support a friend.  She quickly found herself in the Top 20 onto the show’s main stage performing for judges Mary Mary and Bebe Winans. 

 Reedy made it all the way to finals eventually being named runner up.  Throughout that process and the subsequent loss, self-doubt crept in. While Reedy never thought she had the talent to make it, God used the totality of the experience to bring her into her call as both an artist and minister of music.

Take Donnie McClurkin, Marvin Sapp, Donald Lawrence & Richard Smallwood then sprinkle in a dash of Kirk Franklin; shake well and you have Anthony Brown & group therAPy!  Anthony Brown is a brilliant singer, songwriter, choir director and vocal arranger with writing credits for songs recorded by Maurette Brown Clark and Stephen Hurd along with being the vocal director for BET’s Celebration of Gospel for 2006 & 2007.  

Anthony attended Morgan State University where he studied piano and choral conducting under the tutelage of the late, great Dr. Nathan M. Carter.  Beyond Dr. Carter, Brown sites being greatly influenced by mentors Richard Smallwood and Donald Lawrence while drawing from the Hawkins family for writing/vocal arrangements.  Spiritual, Anthony is known to show is love for God in his daily walk.  

“I come from a line of preachers and bishops starting with my grandfather, my father and my older brother.  My dad (Bishop Heber M. Brown, Jr.) is my strongest spiritual influence and other than him, I draw guidance from my pastor, Pastor John Jenkins and also Bishop T.D. Jakes.” says Brown.

“Testimony”, the hit single, is a Top 10 Billboard Hot Gospel Songs Chart smash!  Other standouts on the album are all the songs per this amazing debut project.  Early stellar favorites are “Water” and “Do It Again”.
