ABOUT | "Colorado Bound" tells the story of Fred's grandfather, Al Kosak, driving from Duluth, MN to the Pacific Ocean in the 50s. He took the family Ford wagon and kept his speed at 35 mph as he thought it would give him the best gas mileage. We don’t know how long it took, but he eventually made it to the coast. The wallpaper pattern used on the artwork comes from the Diamond Belle Saloon, the Strater Hotel’s iconic piano bar in downtown Durango, CO—a piece of local history.

SHORT BIO | Born in a distillery in Durango, CO, 2021 IBMA Momentum Band of the Year and two-time Telluride Bluegrass band contest finalists Stillhouse Junkies play a delirious, head-spinning mixture of original roots, blues, funk, swing, and bluegrass music. With all three band members sharing lead vocal and songwriting duties, the Junkies conjure a wide range of tonal landscapes that pay tribute to the iconic sounds of Gillian Welch, the Allman Brothers, Tim O'Brien, the Wood Brothers, John Hiatt, and countless others while breaking new musical ground with their genre-bending original material. I co-wrote the hip-hop version with Derek Minor for his Stellar award winning album, Empire. On this version I share a part of my story to encourage the listener that while we all face rejection and suffer hurt there is true hope to be had in this life. It's my prayer that this song encourages us to patiently walk with each other in understanding.

Hailing from the hills of Virginia, Nothin' Fancy has received 6 Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music Awards (SPBGMA) for Entertainers of the Year—certainly a contributing factor to being inducted into the Virginia Country Music Hall of Fame in 2015. The quintet is well known for their smooth vocal blends, stirring performances, and irrepressible humor. Since 2001 they have hosted their own annual bluegrass festival located in Buena Vista, VA since 2001. Nothin' Fancy is Mike Andes (mandolin, vocals), Mitchell Davis (banjo), Chris Sexton (fiddle, vocals), Caleb Cox (guitar, vocals), and James Cox (bass).
