This track is the Stage 1 background music from the video game "Mystic Riders" (also known as Mahou Keibitai Gun Hohki), released by Irem in 1992.

It's filled with memories from when I was working part-time at a Namco arcade, right around the time this game came out. After closing hours, I asked the incredibly skilled shift leader to play the game so I could record the BGM.

Based on that recording, I transcribed the music by ear and then input the notes into my NEC PC-8801MH (equipped with Sound Board 2 / YAMAHA OPNA (YM2608)), creating this version you hear.

Due to my limited ear-transcription abilities and inputting skills at the time, the original song isn't fully reproduced. Also, I was so thrilled about being able to use the sampling feature that I ended up adding some extra, perhaps unnecessary, handclaps.

Despite those imperfections, I hope you can enjoy the "realness" of a young boy back then, who poured his heart into bringing his beloved game music into a tangible form.

この曲は、1992年にアイレムからリリースされたビデオゲーム『魔法警備隊ガンホーキ（Mystic Riders）』のステージ1 BGMです。

このゲームが発売された当時、ナムコのゲームセンターでアルバイトをしていた頃の思い出が詰まっています。閉店後、ゲームがとても上手だったバイトリーダーにプレイをお願いして、BGMを録音させてもらいました。

その録音をもとに耳コピをして、NEC PC-8801MH（サウンドボード2 / YAMAHA OPNA(YM2608)） に音を打ち込み、演奏させたのがこのバージョンです。

私の耳コピ能力や入力技術の未熟さゆえに、オリジナル曲の再現度は不足していますし、当時サンプリング機能が使えることが嬉しくて、つい余計なハンドクラップを追加してしまったりしています。

そのあたりも含め、大好きなゲーム音楽をひとつの形にした当時の少年のリアルをお楽しみいただければ幸いです。
