Patrice5 (@patrice55) and I present today track 7 in our collaborative concept album in progress, "Altitude". Patrice5 composed, mixed and recorded his part on 15 Octotber 2025 in MAGIX, and I composed, mixed and recorded my part, improvising on Akai MPK mini keyboard controller connected to Logic Pro, in the evening of 26 October 2025, when I also combined our two parts, arranged, mixed and recorded this collaborative track in Logic Pro. We release it now on SoundCloud, in this late Friday morning (in Europe) of 31 October 2025, and hope you'll enjoy!

The artwork cover for our album "Altitude" (2025) and all tracks in it uses a photo shot by Alex M on 26 September 2025 cropped and annotated by Alex M in Mac OS Preview on 29 September 2025 - in coordination and agreement with Patrice5.

Shakedown “At Night“  Shakedown's Galactic Boogie

Remix of original ambient drone track "Floating Through The Planes of Existence", this time with additional arpeggiators added for increased motion and rhythm. 

The sound is extremely lush, melodic and dense.

Created using 2 sine/square wave oscillators, delay, filter/envelope adjustments, resonance and a simple repeating arpeggiator pattern.

All sounds you hear were played live and manipulated in real-time, no external processing. Excerpt taken from a longer 30 minute session. Hope you enjoy.

BIO

While I appreciate music in many genres, I’ve always had a love for electronica… especially ambient, chillout and IDM, likely due to artistic influences in my youth (see “Influences” here: http://synth4ever.com/about-synthever/influences ).

It all started around age 6 when I first heard works done by a Japanese synthesist/composer named Isao Tomita. My parents had bought 3 of his records (Kosmos, The Planets, and The Bermuda Triangle) at a garage sale because the cover artwork “looked cool”.

Little did I know (at the time) that he was a major pioneer in the electronic & analogue synth music scene. When listening to his material, I often dream of soundscapes, distant planets and other such far-away places, and I think my early exposure to his music influenced me for the rest of my life towards a “space ambient” style.

I took piano lessons at a young age for a brief time, but then focused on drumming from age 12. Still, over the years my interest and love for electronic music grew until the point of finally purchasing my first synthesizer in January 2012. Since then I have developed a voracious appetite for all things synth.

DEMOS & MUSIC

When it comes to my synth demos,  I try to showcase what I’ve learnt about the synths I own thus far, and to share with others my love for these synths. I prefer the spontaneity of live performance and hands-on, real-time tweaking of the synth itself.

I like to play music in a more “space ambient” style comprised of long sustained pads, arpeggiators, resonance, reverbs and delay. I find this style allows me great freedom to tweak a synth’s various parameters, play with effects to create new sounds, and create emotional soundscapes that are pleasing to my ear and which take me (and hopefully, the listener) on an emotional journey through electronic music.
