Environment calls, field recording answers.

When we received the news of this project dedicated to the preservation of the oceans, we could not help but respond with something special.

About two weeks ago an e-mail from TubeBuddy appeared in our inbox with a video message from two very famous Youtubers: Mr Beast and Mark Rober.

Maybe some of you remember the #teamtrees project.... well, as of 22:00 today the #teamseas initiative has started.

The goal of this new project is to raise $30M by January 1, 2022 to remove 30M tons of plastic from the oceans, beaches and rivers. 

We are very happy to tell you that we decided to participate as well with a very special content dedicated to the sound of the Adriatic sea.

We spent the afternoons of the last two weeks finding the right moment to record the waves of the sea, the vibrations caused by their movement under the sand and, what was happening under their surface. 

From these recordings was born "Call from a Forgotten Sea", an EP dedicated to one of the fundamental resources of our planet, which every day offers food and oxygen to humanity.

We believe that this initiative can make a difference and if you want to contribute you can find all the information on www.teamseas.org.

Simone Giudice (born 1989) is a composer and electronic music artist who bridges the gap between academic sound experimentation and the vibrant energy of club culture. His techno and dance-oriented sensibility merges with a solid foundation in electroacoustic composition.
Simone's artistic journey is defined by a constant oscillation between intimate and contemplative soundscapes—ambient, drone, and experimental—and the creation of intricate rhythmic patterns characteristic of inspired ambient techno. As a sound designer, he translates his vision into works that range from pure timbral exploration to hypnotic rhythmic structures, crafting pieces that embody a delicate balance between emotion and technical precision. His productions reflect an ongoing exploration of the nature. Simone's works appeared on renowned label such as @affin , @semantica-records , and @deliriorecordings .

"About our live hybrid set
We conceived our performance with storytelling practices in mind, starting with the idea of creating an atmosphere from which we developed our musical narration. You can hear this aspect at the beginning of our hybrid set, where the combination of ambient/dub sounds and field recordings aims to create an introductory and more neutral soundscape. After this kind of incubating phase, we embarked on our musical journey, merging more dramatic vibes with warm, meditative sounds. From there, we gradually introduced rhythmic patterns, with some tribalistic touches, to increase the energy and reach the climax in the final phase, culminating in a special drone dedication to Laurie Anderson.

It felt really being like home playing at Temple #8 (@espacio-perpendicular), such a warm atmosphere and lovely people! The feeling of appreciation and involvement left us with some amazing memories!"

Born and raised in Italy's vibrant capital, Worg aka Andrea Lupo is a composer, producer, sound designer, and live performer who crafts unique sonic worlds, guiding listeners on a journey through dreamlike and spectral soundscapes. In 2018, Worg founded his record label, @lykosrecords . From this starting point, he began shaping a musical universe fueled by experimentation and sound
exploration, navigating the boundaries of experimental techno, ambient, and deep techno. His creations stand out for their fusion of hypnotic textures, persistent rhythms, and metallic dissonances that both captivate and unsettle. Worg has made his mark with releases on renowned labels such as @illegal-alien-records , @circularlimited , @lowless-music , @diffusereality , @northallsenrecords , @concreterecords , and many more as well as appeared on podcasts on prestigious platforms such as @monument-podcast , @invite-1 , @scopavik , and @onthe5thday , with his work soon to be featured on The @hypnus-memoirs , curated by @hypnus Records. Throughout his career, Worg performed in some of the world’s most iconic clubs, including Womb, Dommune in Tokyo (Japan), @vurtkr , Abyss in Shanghai, Loopy Club in Hangzhou, and Wigwam in Beijing (China), @tresorberlin , Goa Club in Rome, @mo_dem Festival , @ozora-festival , and Nada Temple .

Currently living in Berlin, Bernstein aims at luring the audience into his vortex of never-ending colours, spherical streams and atmospheres. His sound palette exceeds the standardized deep house and techno sounds by finding timbres and textures through experimental approaches. "This mixtape is a sonic journey through a nocturnal, dreamlike landscape. I spun a web around the track selection using my own field recordings from India that I made a year ago and also used for my latest album ‘tirtha’ released on @hyalinrecords . I wanted to build oneiric layers of sound, all based on a meditative focal point and hypnotic pulsations"

Berlin-based Iranian DJ, producer, and sound engineer, Samo Rane is the founder of @mercyTechno, an international techno label and podcast series with over 300 mix releases. Each of Samo's releases carry a strong message in support of human rights, being a platform for social and political commentary. Having witnessed severe injustices in his home country, Samo channels his artistic energy into raising awareness about human rights issues. He is particularly committed to advocating for the freedom and equality of LGBTQIA and FLINTA communities, as well as showing solidarity with refugees. His work stands as a  powerful statement for justice, freedom, and dignity for all. Samo Rane is also resident Dj by Berliner Party and Event's series @art-bei-ton since 2019, and he is also one the selected artist's from Berliner Electronic music platform @novafuture.
Here some words from Samo about his mix: "This mix is a journey through light and shadow. Soft, deep sounds flow together. sometimes peaceful, sometimes full of tension. You can hear love and anger, but also the strength that rises when love resists hate. It’s a message without words. A slow, emotional trip through the universe into its deepest and highest places. Synthbiont & Anassimandrus is the ambient/experimental/dub techno project born at the end of 2018 by the collaboration between Nicolò Faggiani and Tommaso Gobbo.
Their musical background comes from different musical experiences as DJs, vinyl collectors, and founders of @electronicmusicculture303. 

The mixing and mastering process aims to elaborate on different digital and analog sources, editing field recordings, and samples to create unique soundscapes.

S & A in Dub is the deep dub techno side of  project. Merging the dubwise heavy basslines with the most ethereal chords and echoes, S & A in Dub draws from an extensive archive of records and samples collected during the past 10 years.
