The international cross-genre trio Suspect 44 unites Hozz Sabirr and Zhiar Mahmoud from Netherlands and Luke Shipstad from the United. The guys’ patrimony is Anjunadeep record label, where they had a very impressive start two years ago with their hit «Japanese Schoolgirls», and quite recently their single «Neon Feel» from the compilation «Anjunadeep 04» became the most downloaded one according to the statistics of iTunes. Quite possibly we will read the same success story of their newest production, «The End», which will be one of the pathfinders in the catalog of Intricate Records in early 2014. Exactly the title track became a part of the label’s debut compilation «Intricate Sessions Vol. One Mixed by PROFF and Vadim Soloviev». The starting part of «The End» is full of mystery, later on as the track builds up and develops, you will be able to trace the entire spectrum of Suspect 44’s signature sounds, where there is space for melodic progressive, lots of percussions, juicy basslines and peculiar, sometimes even exotic and unexpected audio elements. The remixes for the Russian label were this time made by foreign artists. The first rework was made by Robert Moon from Poland. Robert is known for his masterful plays with syncopes, arpeggiated chords and general sympathy to the techno-flavoured progressive. The second rework was made by Blend – this name is well known to the listeners of Intricate Records. This time the Austria-based producer presents his alter-ego ”Volant”, where the sound is even more dancefloor-friendly, more lively and partially even more aggressive compared to his headline musical project.

Here at Perplexity Music, we our extremely proud to introduce our first release on the label after months of waiting. As our aim is to become the pinnacle of melodic progressive house music, what better way than to start it of with a tremendous 4 track EP from the sensational Alex H. The Perth based producer has been climbing up the progressive ladder since 2012 & his remarkable talent can be heard instantly so take a moment to revel in the delight that is music for the soul. 

The first release of the EP, "No Turning Back" is a delectable vocal masterpiece that locks into the core of our emotions & expands in our minds. Comprised  up of tantalizing chords that emit solid & crisp sounds, steady kicks & brilliant melodies, the overall atmosphere is one that is vibrant & striking. The soothing warm vocals provided by Mona Moua blend perfectly with the flow of the production & the deliverance of the thought provoking lyrics are conveyed so beautifully.

Next up in this quality package is another out of this world collaboration & again, with another master of melodies that is Netherland sensation Roald Velden. Also having worked together previously, more prominently on Roald's album, the blend of these talents has earned a great following due to the pure emotion & the top notch effort & time they put into their productions. Prepare to delve into a journey of warm, blissful & magical textures that swoop right in the moment you press play. That's right, it really is that astounding.  With the colorful combination of the melodic elements, the superb heart felt sounds flow freely in a mix up relaxed percussion work & sweet piano lines once again. 

Last but not least is a huge collaboration with the gifted French talent James Woods so you know you’re in for a dynamic experience with "Atitlan". Having worked on the smashing release "Guadalupe" earlier this year, the outcome of what these two producers create is an explosion of luscious sound & this time is no different. Keeping with the gorgeous melody arrangements, the signature sounds of both can be heard so remarkably such as the luring piano lines pressed side by side powerful chord progressions. Add in the subtle female harmonized vocals that tie the production together & you have this easy on the ears, laid back production. 

As well as the 3 magnificent productions,  "No Turning Back" also has a dub version which is the last release on the EP & this is for those that want to create their own moving story in the minds & with the melodic elements like more evident, that'll be easy to get lost into. 
This is just an small insight as to what to expect from us so we hope you'll stick around and support us through the exciting times ahead. Perplexity Music will be the place to catch up on your daily dose of that melodic medicine we all crave & we can guarantee we aim to deliver. The compilation is inspired by our weekly radio show of the same name, which is co-hosted by Jacob and Tom, as well as Johan Vilborg, Jayeson Andel, Vintage & Morelli, & Terry Da Libra. Reaching international listeners on Proton Radio, Digitally Imported, Pure.FM, Tenzi.FM, Dance Paradise, and other radio platforms, Silk Royal Showcase recently reached its 300th episode (http://www.silkroyalshowcase.com) and now often ranks amongst the Top 100 Music Podcasts in the USA on iTunes.

Carefully selected to represent the sound of Silk Royal Showcase radio, the songs included in the compilation range from the more pensive and melancholic shades of progressive to the more club-oriented, peak-hour material we tend to play at the end of our radio show mixes and live sets. Many of the artists are seasoned veterans of the SRS compilation series; there are also numerous first-time contributors to this year's compilation, many of whom have asserted themselves as leading talents in trance & progressive in just the past year. The unstoppable Vintage & Morelli presents "Desire," the third single from his debut artist album, "My Rose Enchanted Destiny." A truly exhilarating track, "Desire" centers on an emotive, trance-influenced chord progression, which patiently evolve into an anthemic lead. Meanwhile, the titular vocal hook only enhances the emotional soundscape. Rounding out this single, global progressive house and trance icons Dezza (Canada) and Blugazer (USA) offer their own club-friendly, yet truly inspired interpretations.

Dezza is rapidly approaching a decade's worth of contributions to our imprint, which is to say: we have been incredibly fortunate to work with the acclaimed Canadian veteran since our label's inception. His remix of "Desire" is simply euphoric from start to finish. We are immediately met with his signature roaring bassline, which is both resonant and cleanly mixed, leaving plenty of space for lush piano chords and an infectious vocal stab sequence. However, the highlight of the song -- perhaps the release highlight -- does not occur until the drop, where a hands-in-the-air chord sequence unites with a thunderous groove.

Blugazer, whose virtuosic compositions over the years have traversed all shades of progressive, provides a deep and imaginative take on the original. A variety of the original themes are present in his elaborate soundscape, yet it's the overall atmosphere of this production that captivates the listener. Blugazer once again crafts a sensual, "escapist" arrangement, into which the listener immediately sinks and, ultimately, doesn't exit until long after the song's conclusion.

Norwegian producer Astrevea returns to our imprint with a spectacular balearic progressive EP.

Astrevea welcomes listeners to an audible journey to the “Maldives.” Although located in the Arabian Sea of the Indian Ocean, the Balearic experience is no less celebrated on this equatorially balmy island. Beautiful arpeggiated chords and punchy grooves along the catchphrase side chain of a bassline will easily resonate within. “6 A.M.” continues the after party in the sweltering morning of the previous night’s outer experience in the Maldives. The chord progression and compositional arrangement gives Astrevea merit in his skill in music production.

We are thrilled to bring you a new release here on Textures from two of the Emergent Family’s leading lights: UK-based Skua and Joshua Ollerton.  

Both of these versatile artists are well known for their plethora of releases across the Emergent group of imprints, but working in collaboration they have both moved into new realms to produce an absolutely stunning deep beauty of a track. Accompanying this wonderful original are a pair of remixes from two more of the most talented producers on our roster: Finland-based Kajis and Kenya-based Mescadi. Both these outstanding producers have delivered phenomenal remixes, taking the track in new directions and embossing it with their own inimitable styles.

Collaborating here on Textures to create a wondrous new release, this is Skua & Joshua Ollerton (with Kajis and Mescadi) and their enthralling new track “Sand”
