Originally released back in 2007 by Dubfire, EDX first lent his hand to remix duties on ‘Roadkill’ that same year, turning the minimal techno record into a mammoth electro house remix that dominated Ibiza and received support from every major DJ on the island and indeed the globe. Nearly a decade later, EDX has chosen to test his production prowess by revisiting the fan-favourite, masterfully infusing the original with his sublime sound to provide a divine deep house edit that is set to continue his worldwide dancefloor domination.

In celebration of the release, EDX gives insight into the importance of the song, “In 2007, Dubfire released his debut minimal techno record, ‘Roadkill’ and it’s a significant song in my career as I released a remix of it in 2008 that took over Ibiza and saw a ton of DJ support from Pete Tong, Armin Van Buuren, and Swedish House Mafia, to name a few. The song still brings back many good memories from that exciting era, so I decided to revitalize it with a fresh version that features my deeper, sexier style, about 10 years since its release. With the recent announcement of my Privilege Ibiza residency this summer, this new ‘Roadkill’ version couldn’t have come at a better time, and I can’t wait for you all to hear it on the dance floor.”
 
Last year saw EDX’s career reach unprecedented heights, with his remix of Sam Feldt’s ‘Show Me Love’ amassing over 60 million plays on SoundCloud alone, not to mention releasing a slew of club-ready cuts such as ‘Belong’ and ‘Revered’ that saw him scoop the award for #1 top charting artist on Beatport of 2015. With his weekly ‘NoXcuses’ radio show and podcast hitting the 1 million downloads mark, earlier this year saw the Swiss sensation bring the revered show and event brand of the same name together with Swiss label Enormous Tunes for a hugely successful 15-date bus tour across North America. After about a year together with us, we see US bound producer Mark Digital as a close member of our PHW division were he has built up his reputation as a producer making great grooves including a great blend of melodic harmonies. With that said we of course welcome him back with open arms as he delivers another original though the label, this one named as “Soluente”. With his pumping vibe, throbbing kick drums he surely strikes with another massive production that he spice up with flying melodies and super tight vocal additions. He surely is a name that is to stay on the scene, working hard on building his Mark Digital moniker, he will win another line of listeners through “Soluente”, that we are sure of.

To flavour the release a little extra, we see two stompin’ remixes from respected progressive artists Dextrose and Dan Norvan, two producers that you been able to hear through the label in the past. 

First out is a long time server on PHW, as India based producer Dextrose takes on another remix on the label. Being featured on the label more than double figures over the years, he showcase another stylistic progressive rework that oozes class and style as always. We are always on our toes when we hear new musical ideas from this forward thinking producer and we can’t say less than that he strikes in full force once again with his ever surprising productions.

Mexicos very own Dan Norvan returns as well with another remix. Hammering out quality progressive and trance  music in the past, he once more proves what he is made of and that he is a producer that you will hear a lot more from in the future as well. This is a superb production that delivers a full in bloom trance styled vision of the ideas from Mark Digital that is beyond our expectations. With a heavy old school feel, he blends perfectly with new ideas how this track could be developed into something rare and special and he is taking it to perfect heights, super stuff is right in front of you and we don’t think you should miss out.
