When we embarked on the Synth Collective project, our blueprint was to provide the melodic progressive community with long-lasting, lifting music that would stand the test of time. As we celebrate our 8th anniversary and look back, we candidly acknowledge we achieved that goal, thanks to all the talented artists that have entrusted their inspired creations to us and the audience that was built upon that passion. '' The Argentine duo Suonare have established themselves as a true force withing the progressive scene, being one of the most respected and sought-after acts with releases on every major label of the genre. Thus we can only be utterly thrilled to welcome them to the Synth family with a gorgeous track 'Saw you'. Reaching to their more trancey sound, the original begins with a harder beat just fit for the club, chords made to make one dance and a vox sample that just urges one to get his toes in the sand. Not long until the track unleashes itself into full blown melodic glory in the beakdown with lovely piano lines and effects. A sort of happy melancholy pervades through until we're back to the beat and more lead melodies are added. Sublime!

'' As first remixer we have another newcomer to the family, Skua, but certainly no new name on the scene. His remix takes the piano lines from the break and gives even more depth while adding some new sampled vocals. Summer in a bottle or should we say summer in a track!

Airtraffic surely is one of the new names that has been on everybody's lips for a while now and we couldn't be happier to have him on the release. Intricate chord lines mingle with the original's vox and new melodies to create a rather euphoric rendition. His remix is groovy and vibrant whilst the breakdown features a more quiet and pensive atmosphere.

As the last two remixes, we have two heavyweight veterans with a huge following, Gux Jimenez and Moonwatch3r. Gux's remix features a more laid back approach, almost a late night rendition, a mix of deep and chill ambient styles. Adding a guitar in the break only elevates his production further, a silky remix indeed. Moonwatch3r's rendition closely follows the original but the lead melodies are enhanced and the piano gives it a peaceful and uplifting aura. A remix to have a cocktail close by.

Embark on an ancient catamaran in search for mysterious sea creatures, sirens and other wonders tucked deep underwater. Almost a year in the making, the album showcases the producer's ability to create wondrous musical explorations, sailing the high seas from the first ominous sounds of the opener 'Tumultua' , feeling hopeful of the journey laid ahead through the title track 'Meridian Sail'. A melancholic feeling sweeps the heart linked to the loved ones left on shore on ' Nagoyaku' . The nautical exploration reaches uncharted territories, diving deep to reach the Mariana's trench but through storms and sunshine, the catamaran arrives safely home with stories of it's able captain Ametrine and his fellow sea men, Maiga, Sam Hughes, Nafta & Ennea , Nerutto and PhuturePhil. ' Being already part of the Synth family after providing our label with two smashing remixes that far exceeded our expectations, we're exhilarated to present two originals from the talented James Kerwin . Despite being featured on quite a few big labels and releases, the young Florida-based artist's productions have gone over the head of most of the scene but we hope this release will change that, as James brings a style that's serious and complex but without losing the feel-good appeal of progressive. Get your sunscreen lotion ready as we dive in head first into Paradise Coast, a choon that sounds like the first summer days and the freedom that brings alongside. With a main melody harking back to progressive era of 2013, this will ease smiles on your faces and will have your feet tapping in no time. An all around serene and joyful track. James truly shows his craftsman talents on the second track , Sand to glass, a wonderfully-built labyrinth of eerie sounds and ominous feelings. We like to think of it as the 'yang' to the first choon's 'yin', as we venture onto a secluded beach at night, under the stars, alone, mesmerized by the vastness of our gaze. Truly an epic counterpart and testament to James Kerwin's ability of building worlds within one can live, through his music.'

' The young Cork-based artist, Keith Harris, really needs no introduction, as he's blessed many a label with his bass-throbbing, piano-led melodic productions for some three years now. He's one of the most renowned producers in the scene and certainly one that can boast an almost cult following, thus we're absolutely thrilled to unveil his newest two-tracker , containing some of his most mature work thus far. First up we have 'Alone in my dreams' , which presents itself as a very engaging piece right from the get-go with it's groovy arpeggios until blissful vocals appear to take center-stage. Piano and lead melodies are powerful enough to take the listener's breath away but Keith keeps everything in check with breathtaking fx and exquisite pad work in the breakdown. Expect to be transported back in time as the companion piece of this release , 'Boardwalk', has all the elements of a romantic 80's vintage track, yet all the key ingredients are so well dosed and crafted that it comes off as a tropical paradise of a track. From the little percussion details to the uplifting piano lines, these are two tracks that no melodic lover should pass up. We've waited to have the young Irish talent on the label for a year and we're thrilled with the perfect package he's delivered and we hope you share our opinion, too.
