Toronto and Canada based producer Aaron Dmitriew makes his way back on our PHW division with another rock solid progressive 2 track release. We are always thrilled to see him back on the label. 

With the title track “Be My Escape” he put on a progressive journey, packed with warm moods and those lovely melodic textures that we so often hear from him. Through the 2nd track, baptized as “Over Complicate It” he pulls the trigger once more with a sensational melodic journey. With feel good vocal samples, smooth plucks, great use of filters, this surely is another stunning production from this in fame rising producer out of Canada. As always, a great pleasure to bring his music and ideas through the label and it’s definitely one for the money again.

As melodic progressive music lovers we always looking forward to see the shining melodies together with comfort grooves, if so you will definitely love this mini-album's in Sunset Horizon: "Music Diary" from Zhuhai based Chinese artist melchi.

This is the first time that Melchi combined Chinese styled sounds with world music, and it's also a great leap that melchi takes to produce genres such as Organic House, Deep & Progressive House. "Music Diary" records the wishes of a better future from people around world. Moreover, the idea for the album to be based to the real life is also a reflection of Melchi's wish that he wants to connect the world with music using his beautiful melodies.

1. Post-epidemic Era
After the epidemic, China is in fast recovery and now full of energy. People there are living their life with confidence and happiness. The ErHu and Chinese Zither are speaking the people's wishes towards a better future.

2.Blooming Hope
Simple but warm voices playing through the song, like the wind of spring. Organic precussion plays with shaker as the world comes alive.

3. Rise
Energetic deep progressive house combining with epic tribal percussions and vocals, it interprets the determination of the people all over the world to fight the epidemic and getting through the difficulties together.

Inspired by the charming night scene of Guangzhou's Pearl River , Melchi brings the scenes into music with his masterful Melodic Progressive House, he also contributed the vocal samples himself.

5. Beautiful Life
Melchi-style Melodic Progressive is once again perfectly presented, just enjoy the pleasant melodies and rhythms. Under the same clear sky, when nothing is broken, we will meet again and see the world together.

Consisting of Danish-born (LA-based) producer Tim McEwan and NYC-based singer-songwriter Tyler Lyle, The Midnight have emerged in recent years as a veritable leader of the synthwave resurgence. More specifically, the duo have received generous support from legions of synthwave enthusiasts, as well as more casual synth-pop fans, ever since their aesthetic-defining debut EP "Los Angeles" (2014). Their subsequent LP offering, "Endless Summer" (2016), cemented the duo's reputation as one of the finest new synthwave acts, a sentiment that musical legends (Chicane), renowned artist peers (FM-84), and prominent genre hubs (NewRetroWave) have graciously reinforced of late. The Midnight Remixed, one of our most ambitious releases to date, features brand new remixes by a distinguished group of Silk Music veterans, whose melodic and atmospheric sound has significantly helped to define our brand. We've also recruited a few famed nonresident label contributors, including Lifelike and Michael Cassette, whose specific compositional gifts and musical legacies seemed especially apropos to this 80s-influenced endeavor.

The Midnight Remixed showcases breathtaking new interpretations of The Midnight's past work, ranging in style from drum & bass and deep house to trance & progressive. As we prepare for the mid-August album release of "The Midnight Remixed," we are pleased to present the third and final pre-album single, "Sunset," featuring a brand new remix by iconic 80s-influenced artist Michael Cassette.

There was a sense of destiny behind Michael Cassette's triumphant remix of "Sunset." The Finnish producer's 2010 album, "Temporarity," released on the mighty Anjunadeep stable, remains the benchmark upon which modern-day synthwave is often assessed. Coaxed out of a significant production hiatus, Michael Cassette proves that he has not lost a compositional step. His life-affirming take accentuates The Midnight's euphoric chords and equally inspired, sing-along vocals, not to mention the original cut's hurts-so-good cinematic 80s aesthetic. 

In this release, for good measure, we have also included The Midnight's original version of "Sunset," an instant synthwave classic that will forever remain synonymous with the genre. From the song's cinematic opening monologue to its poignant melodic outro, "Sunset" is Tim and Tyler's achingly beautiful ode to fellow wistful souls.

Hungry Music has since five years carved out its own magnificent niche in the electronic music world, and it is now returning with its second remarkable summer release. It is coming from N'to and features a fresh, arpeggiated and hypnotic beast entitled "Alter Ego".

This track originally started off under the "Progressive Soul" theme as part 5. It brought with it the bliss and the soul, but for me, there was an element of groove missing, so I decided not to take it there... 

Instead, the ambience of a park with cheery birds, gives the listener much needed elements of summer, joy and bliss - something all human beings are in need of right now.
