Summer Melody starts the new year of 2023 with prog-trance label debut, from Russia-based Focusing, a 2-track EP including Memory and Portal. 

An uprising trance artist who has been on labels such as Redux Recordings and Alter Ego Records, he has been experimenting on more progressive-oriented tracks. The results are on this full-length EP, two 10-minute experiences along the progressive trance route, whilst delivering beautiful melodic lines.

We here believe that music is an elegant pathway into thoughts, our inner most secretive thoughts that can only be released when our true self are woken by sounds that engulf any inhibitions & make them fade away. Our next producer has done exactly that with his productions to date. We bring you Tomek Krajewski aka Bee Hunter. The Poland based producer stormed into the scene with full force, engulfing us all in his tracks such as "Agava" on Sunset Melodies, "Ionized" on Fuzzy Recordings & "The Sin" on Pineapple Digital. 

It is a pleasure to have him produce this breathtaking 3 track EP for us & what a delight it is to be able to wander of into a scenic sunset that never ends in our musical world.  The first stunning track titled "Blue Lagoon" is as gorgeous as it sounds, just think, an isolated patch of paradise where the waters around you are a glistening combination of blues & turquoises. With nothing around you but this serene, melody fused production, it clambers the air with a generous variety of chord progressions, powerful bass lines & hypnotic kicks. Add in the brilliantly devised piano line that runs through bringing out the beach like feeling, the aura becomes increasingly chilled and soothing. A bright & warm way to start this journey  into the haven of light.

 Following this, we have the tropical & euphoric sounds of "Isla Negra". This wonderful track retains the sweet melodies from the former track except it takes a more energetic & on the go feel with the increased speed of the chords & percussions, this time slightly blending in the piano with both for a more subtle yet prominent sound. This superb & skillfully composed track pays homage to the beautiful region that is located on the dazzling coastal lines of Chile. From start to finish, you can feel the powerful textures of the sounds forming dynamically to create the perfect summer aura regardless of what season it is. The simple yet thoughtful finish of the crickets chirping brings a well placed & calming end to an exquisite piece of art. 
Last but not least to complete this tremendously amazing EP is a more chilled out & relaxed production and a great way to close this fine selection of tracks. "Crystal" is as the name suggests, a rich, gleaming &  remarkably beautiful release comprised up of uplifting yet soothing melodies, light pads & again a wonderful range of chords and soft piano lines. The subdued sounds work well as a moment of resting & thought for the listeners with the occasional vocal lines cropping through adding to the tranquil atmosphere of the track.  

We hope you enjoyed this quality EP from Bee Hunter & we most certainly hope to have given you a slice of heaven that is melodic progressive house at its best. As always, we finish up with affirming a connection with all the listeners, the music is within us all & magnificent productions like this just keep us holding out for more, and you best believe, there is plenty more gems to come. Consisting of Danish-born (LA-based) producer Tim McEwan and NYC-based singer-songwriter Tyler Lyle, The Midnight have emerged in recent years as a veritable leader of the synthwave resurgence. More specifically, the duo have received generous support from legions of synthwave enthusiasts, as well as more casual synth-pop fans, ever since their aesthetic-defining debut EP "Los Angeles" (2014). Their subsequent LP offering, "Endless Summer" (2016), cemented the duo's reputation as one of the finest new synthwave acts, a sentiment that musical legends (Chicane), renowned artist peers (FM-84), and prominent genre hubs (NewRetroWave) have graciously reinforced of late. The Midnight Remixed, one of our most ambitious releases to date, features brand new remixes by a distinguished group of Silk Music veterans, whose melodic and atmospheric sound has significantly helped to define our brand. We've also recruited a few famed nonresident label contributors, including Lifelike and Michael Cassette, whose specific compositional gifts and musical legacies seemed especially apropos to this 80s-influenced endeavor.

The Midnight Remixed showcases breathtaking new interpretations of The Midnight's past work, ranging in style from drum & bass and deep house to trance & progressive. Michael Cassette, Johan Vilborg, Dezza, Lifelike, PROFF, Terry Da Libra, Sundriver, and Talamanca's exhilarating, club-oriented interpretations feature rapturous chords, and, of course, Tyler's mellifluous and infectious vocal hooks. Offerings from Marsh, Vintage & Morelli, eleven.five, and Mango vs. We Are All Astronauts convey a deeper and more introspective musical tone, but are nonetheless equally memorable.

Following the success of our first sampler, we are ecstatic to deliver VA Perplexity Music: Sampler 2. If the first is anything to live up to, you can bet that the level of talent and quality in this will surpass any benchmark. With new faces and old talents alike, this 11 track compilation has something for everyone to enjoy. 

Let's begin with Morocco based producer, DJ U-CEf who brings 'Miss You'. This light hearted track packs in gorgeous melodies with a laid back percussion ranges to warm up those still chilly nights.

Next up we have Frosun who joins us from Lithuania. Stunning chords play the part in building up 'Libra' with the smooth sailing sound arrangements that make you feel like you are floating along on cloud 9. 

Gianmarco Fabbretti is the next to grace us with 'Skyward Eyes'. This electrifying track pierces your auditory senses with such beauty within the melodies & the break that you feel the peace cover you. 

Poland based Kalim Milo presents 'Hexagonal Island', an energetic, Progressive masterpiece to immerse yourself into. The pulsing formations of the synths, chords & piano work divinely to pump up the aura.

Following this, Kalsy from the UK delivers 'Deep Space' and as the name suggests, the deep house style bursts through. The well placed piano stabs, the gorgeous melody & soft tempo is blissfully right.

Next we have US based Kono (USA) with 'Gualla'. This warm melodic track will melt away the winter blues with its soft & serene synth arrangements, light break & electric atmosphere.

Martin Graff from Poland adds his touch with 'One Day On The Sun'; a smoothly gorgeous track that is filled with heart melting chords, pulsing kicks & intensely beautiful piano lines to blend to perfection.

As we prepare for the mid-August album release of "The Midnight Remixed," we are pleased to present the third and final pre-album single, "Sunset," featuring a brand new remix by iconic 80s-influenced artist Michael Cassette.

There was a sense of destiny behind Michael Cassette's triumphant remix of "Sunset." The Finnish producer's 2010 album, "Temporarity," released on the mighty Anjunadeep stable, remains the benchmark upon which modern-day synthwave is often assessed. Coaxed out of a significant production hiatus, Michael Cassette proves that he has not lost a compositional step. His life-affirming take accentuates The Midnight's euphoric chords and equally inspired, sing-along vocals, not to mention the original cut's hurts-so-good cinematic 80s aesthetic. 

In this release, for good measure, we have also included The Midnight's original version of "Sunset," an instant synthwave classic that will forever remain synonymous with the genre. From the song's cinematic opening monologue to its poignant melodic outro, "Sunset" is Tim and Tyler's achingly beautiful ode to fellow wistful souls.
