Grotto Del Motto

Neon Ghosts is our little detour into a completely different world – away from the dark realms, diving into a synthetic ocean of neon lights, retro beats, and cyberpunk melancholy. This synthwave–electro–ambient album is a passion project by Raphaela Hartmann, Sascha Häusler, and Thomas Kaiser – all devoted fans of synthwave and cyberpunk culture.

We simply couldn’t resist exploring this genre ourselves – painting glitch-stars across the digital sky and creating soundscapes that feel like neon rain, chrome dreams, and distant cityscapes.

This is just our first step – an experiment, a side project made with love and pure fun.
If you enjoy our little venture and the feedback is positive, we’ll continue building and expanding this journey.

Both of them are hailing from the US, and it is great to unleash another superb collaboration from our long time friend Infinity State and vocalist Erica Faries who once more teams up for a release through PHW. This one, called “Cassiopeia” is a warm driving progressive trance track, full of sparkling energy and melodic hooks that is a great treat to anyone. It’s a great blend of textures, that we see as nothing else than another exceptional production from this stand out producer. 

On remix duty we say a welcome back to Lebanon based producer Bilal El Aly who again return to our home with another sensational treat, packed with all the right elements as we so often see from him. This one, a melodic progressive house take on the original ideas, to give the release another dimension and we can’t say less than that Bilal has succeeded once again, what a treat! 

As we always try and put a great variety on the releases, we see a return from another long time friend that been away from PHW for a while, but we are as thrilled as ever to see the always great and friendly Jeremy Rowlett join back with us. This time he delivers a deeper re-take that give even more edge to the release.

It is fantastic work from all involved in this release, and we are thrilled to see the reactions on it!

Veteran Mykleby brings to the label one of his tracks from the vault, a SoundCloud fan favorite, Cloud Dance. Unmistakably uplifting and airy, the original gets remixed by three talents that have brought their A-game to this release. Lumidelic is a fast-rising artist that has been on every major label in the scene and brings a Mediterranean feel to his remix. Newcomer Keisuke Hara accentuates the original break's poignant theme while adding Spanish guitars to it, the result having a relaxing, almost spacey feel. Last but not least J Iskala steps forth into progressive trance territory and delivers a cross between old school trance and progressive touches, whilst still being melodic and melancholic. It's always a pleasure to work with artists that have a clear vision of what their sound is and are keen to maintain and upgrade the quality of their productions with each release. Such is the case of Dutch melody man Vince Forwards, who returns with an epic progressive choon after a brief immersion into other styles, namely deep and ambient.
On 'Falling Stars' , a collaborative effort with Essex native Sunset Moments, the duo unleash an array of atmospheric wooshes and layers that will have the listener captivated from the very first beat. We are delighted to welcome Progressive Initiations, Simon Fischer from Germany to Progressive Dreams. He is better known from his Mindsoundscapes project where he has released uplifting trance for many years. Progressive Initiations is Simon's debut into our Melodic scene and what a fine way to do this with such a wonderful melodic progressive release.

Pathfinders is a beautiful track full of real emotion and melodic melodies that really sound great and take you away. Sounds of the summer in a melodic piece. 

We welcome back Firas Tarhini again who delivers a slick production with top quality sound design bursting through and beautiful pluck sounds throughout, its a great remix. 

Mark Digital takes up remix duties yet again and delivers his signature sound with great results. This is a full on club sounding track, packed with energy and is another fine remix of this pack. 

Finally we have a different style remix from Simon, under the alias Nonlinear Endorphine. Originally Simon contacted Shane Collins, owner and founder of Progressive Dreams and DJ at MusicShaneCollins because of a DJ set that Shane uploaded many years ago that Simon really fell in love with. It was called A Progressive Journey 16 and has some very unique sounding tracks in it, and for a period of time the music released was really special but the music evolved very quickly and we never heard music like this released again, until now. 

So in this final remix, Simon does a great job at recreating that sound once again and If people take to it then whats to say we won't keep releasing more like this again.

Silk Royal is excited to welcome back 19 Hz, the Argentinian super duo of Dario Tello (a.k.a. Airdraw) and Rodrigo Deem, with the brand new single "Another Skin". 19 Hz's last release on Silk Royal, the Beatport hit "Round & Round," was voted "Web Vote Winner" on Above & Beyond's "Trance Around The World" and receive a litany of additional support, so we are especially excited to announce their return to our imprint. This single also comes equipped with brilliant new remixes by Dan & Sam and Blood Groove & Kikis.

19 Hz proved that they are quite capable of composing peak-hour dancefloor material with "Round & Round", but their offering here, "Another Skin", is a journey back to their more pensive and emotive progressive roots. The song kicks off with a house-y beat (highlighted by a snappy snare), brooding and layered pad, and melancholy arp line, all of which coalesce to create a deeply poignant atmosphere. A top line to the arp beings to develop: crystalline bell sounds, which soar above the track like an especially vivacious flock of birds. Meanwhile, the full-bodied pad begins to crescendo with "tidal" force, as the song approaches its midpoint. In the main break, we are treated to a series of achingly beautiful female vocal samples and wintry bell sounds, all of which lend additional emotional resonance to the tune.

Dan & Sam, fresh off their breakthrough hit "Breaking The Illusion" (#2 on the Beatport Trance Release chart for over a week), offer the first of two breathtaking interpretations. Hailing from the USA (Dan Sieg) and Australia (Sam Wilkinson), this exciting new duo offers a more upbeat take on the original, as their version jets out of the gate with a clubby kick and gut-busting rhythm. Yet, the emotive spirit of the original is not abandoned: a teaser mini-break early in the track reveals a moving new lead chord progression and arp line, as well as the very welcome inclusion of the original vox samples. The tune continues to pick up steam, leading into the main break, where a gorgeous new piano solo appears. The dancefloor-friendly groove sits below all of these elements in the latter half of the tune, to truly stunning effect.

Blood Groove & Kikis, who also appeared recently on Silk Royal as a winner of our "Wild At Heart" remix contest, are back with another atmospheric progressive masterpiece. Their track takes a slightly different approach, in that the song is infused with a more "romantic" and soothing spirit, in contrast to the melancholy and almost heart-breaking tones of the prior two mixes. A powerful groove is established early, as well as repeating chord, which eventually develops into a full, 4-bar motif. Also, the vocal samples bring additional melodic texture, as do the Sundriver-esque pads. Glorious new melodic variations appear in the break, including delicate guitar plucks and piano lines. With the arrival of the drop, the listener is submerged in full atmospheric prog splendor, courtesy of one of the finest new acts in the genre.
